The new law is merely common sense and stops employers from pestering employees with trivial matters outside of work.
Whilst we accept that for SOME trades, professions or industries, it is an accepted part of employee terms and conditions - However in most cases it is an intrusion on a persons private life.

Emergency workers will need an opt out... Don't see why. Emergencies are the job. They should already be prepared every day. In my experience, their current opt outs are the excuse for the poor management that they (and we, the public) experience every day.
