The UK government spent £98.81 billion in 2019/20 on the state pension. What would you call a good state pension for all .when state pension cost £107 Billion a year thats 2022 with a aging population its going to increase . Has my figure shows above the spend on state pension was 98.Billion in 2019/20 by today's figure its increased by nearly 10 billion in a 2 yr time span .not sure what the total spend will be next year with the 11% increase awarded . Since 2010 this Government has been in power the state pension has gone up a staggering 40% Like I said the state pension is a ticking time bomb it cant continue at this rate.
It won't - they have already announced that there will be another rise in the age at which you can receive the State Pension. With the numbers of pensioners growing you can control the cost by making it payable over less years. |
