I don't need to Google I know what is what I spent 36 years dealing with the dregs of our society up close and personal , I have the scars to remind me last major injury in 1993 I was rammed head first into a brick wall by a nice Rasta high as kite took six officers to get him in the van. The scar above left eye is fading but one of the vertebrae bones in my neck was crushed I feel that every time its cold and damp restricted movement I got a longer sentence My assailant who had numerous convictions was given 6 months , my sentence was for life yes some Judges make ridiculous sentences. I was luckier than a Officer I worked with for 5 years a lovely man , Google Nicholas Vernage, 51, killed Sgt Alan King in north east London in 1991. This silly randy woman will serve half her sentence inside and the rest back in the community Never mind a minimum of 25 years should never let him out. Some times I think the Lunatics are running the Asylum

And so it continues
Three people have been stabbed in two incidents within six minutes of each other in west London, with a suspect still on the run.
Two were in a life-threatening or life-changing condition after the stabbings in Feltham, Hounslow, but police later said all are expected to recover
Police were first called to Allcot Close at 2.07pm on Thursday, where they found a male with a stab injury.
Just six minutes later, officers were called to Walsham Road - which is about a half-hour drive away - with two males seriously hurt in a stabbing.
Their injuries are "being treated as life-threatening/life-changing at this stage", the Metropolitan Police said.
Officers have not said how old the victims are.
A suspect was not at the scene in either instance when officers arrived and no arrests have been made.

It makes no sense. It's as if we're talking about the legal system in two different countries.

Why ask me ? IMO each case is judged on its merit the Judge then makes the decision of what sentence is appropriate after hearing all the evidence in this case one boy told the Court
"
Joynes gave birth to Boy B's baby in early 2024, with the child being taken away from her within 24 hours.
In a victim impact statement, Boy B said "one of the hardest things" was not being told anything about the baby.
He added: "I struggled to come to terms with my abuse, I was completely in denial."
During the trial, he said he felt he had "betrayed someone I love and done wrong by giving evidence" but had since realised "the full extent" of the abuse and "tactics used".
He said he was "coerced, controlled, manipulated, sexually abused, and mentally abused", adding: "I will forever be Rebecca‘s victim and forever linked to her through our child."
At the sentencing hearing, the judge, Kate Cornell, told Joynes: "You were the adult, the person in control.
"You should have known better. You failed to enforce the boundaries of proper conduct but deliberately transgressed them."
The trial heard Joynes would "laugh off" inappropriate comments instead of shutting down the behaviour. "
IMO if the Teacher had been a man and had groomed two boys or two girls under the age of consent he would have got an even longer sentence

Well yes, my thoughts too more or less. OK the boys were under 16 but it was consensual, she didn't rape anyone. She showed poor judgement for sure, but considering she's a maths teacher it's a shame the judge couldn't have come up with something a bit more imaginative than a 6½ year prison sentence. It matters not no child male or female under the age of 16 year can legally consent to sex they were not under 16

I cant understand why she was jailed at all. We have record Prison overcrowding and yet they send this poor girl to jail for something that is every schoolboys dream - we have buffoons in charge. It's the abuse of her position of authority and a clear breach of everything regarding safeguarding which has been taken into account. Then she committed further offences whilst on bail - her own worst enemy.

Giving some hormonally charged teenage boy the time of his life is hardly an offence - in fact it could be construed as a public good..

The youngster, identified only as Boy B and now aged 18, was groomed from the age of 15 by Joynes during a secret relationship with her while still at school. She began having sex with him while on bail for sexual activity with the first child, Boy A. The teacher told him she could not get pregnant, but later revealed she was carrying his child. She was jailed today for six-and-a-half years at Manchester Crown Court for six offences of sexual activity with children. In a victim impact statement read to the court, Boy B said he had initially struggled to come to terms with what had happened as he was in love with Joynes and 'in denial'. He said: 'I would argue until I was blue in the face protecting her and would not hear a bad word against her. I felt as though I had betrayed someone I love and had done wrong by giving evidence. 'I felt a large sense of guilt for a long time. I questioned if I was right to give statements about the woman who was carrying my child, since then I have replayed a lot of things in my head, and spoken to a lot of people, and it has made me realise the full extent of the abuse carried out on me and the tactics that were used to do so 'I was coerced and controlled, manipulated, sexually abused, and mentally abused etc. it is very upsetting that this has happened to me, and I have had little to no support from any organisations. 'I am only just finding help through self-referrals and help from a family support worker. 'The months after the abuse happened to me, was a very dark time, I felt backed into a corner. 'This had a massive mental toll over me and my family. It tore my family apart, they struggled to come to terms with the fact they sent me to school, where they believed it to be a safe environment, and this happened as a result. 'I attended school regularly and left with straight As. My parents broke down every day and night trying to get me to speak, I held many things back. I thought I would be better off dealing with things alone, as it is a rare case and not very relatable to others.' www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13601127/Schoolboy-fathered-child-paedophile-maths-teacher-Rebecca-Joynes-says-ordeal-torn-family-apart-left-suffering-panic-attacks-fears-babys-future.html www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13601127/Schoolboy-fathered-child-paedophile-maths-teacher-Rebecca-Joynes-says-ordeal-torn-family-apart-left-suffering-panic-attacks-fears-babys-future.html

I wonder what your attitudes would be if she were a 40 year old bloke shagging your 15 year old daughter. I know what my attitude would be if I were 15 again.

The age of consent is 16 normally. It is 18 in regards to relationships between persons where one is in a position of trust, such as a teacher/pupil relationship. The younger child was under 16 when the "Relationship" began. Both were underage for the purpose of the relevant law. "...The youngster, identified only as Boy B and now aged 18, was groomed from the age of 15 by Joynes during a secret relationship with her while still at school. She began having sex with him while on bail for sexual activity with the first child, Boy A..."
In committing the first offence she could have mitigated her sentence by claiming an emotional "Mistake" but committing a second, similar offence while already on bail for the first sealed her fate.
And that's before we even get to the horrendous situation of her becoming pregnant by one of these children.
Whatever way you look at it, Joynes is a manipulative serial, predatory paedophile.
For which she's now paying the price.
