What did not happen in the past is relevant to the present situation. Had one of the UK Governments set up a fund, Sturgeon would not be talking about starting one in an Independent Scotland. What she was talking about in her conference speech was funding the fund from remaining oil revenues from the remaining oil reserves plus borrowing www.scotsman.com/news/politics/nicola-sturgeon-speech-snp-leader-pledges-ps20-billion-energy-fund-to-finance-scottish-independence-3874381As the UK Government is set to allow the opening of new fields, oil will last for quite some time. I think what she plans is preventing new fields coming on tap. She is not in the position to do that until we gain our Independence. Yet again you let slip your lack of knowledge of what the YES movement is all about. Far from having "a very rose tinted view ...", we are quite aware that things could be tough but, and this is a big problem in your narrative. People want away regardless. Things are getting tough in the UK, people feel that we need Independence so that Scotland can make policies that suit the country and not simply be told to accept the UK Government's diktat. Scotland is ignored in the UK, we need to get out.

I cant believe that the currency question has still not been settled - after 2014 I would have thought it would have been the first policy to have nailed down. Read the complete thread - it's hilarious. The man is a complete and utter buffoon. Scotland needs to be rid of these separatist clowns.

Polls are irrelevant when there is no vote happening.
You can post all the dodgy polls you like.
Fact is you already had your vote and lost. More people vote against the separatists than for. With PR the SNP would become an irrelevance in the House of Commons. The Union is here to stay.

During election downtime polls are the only means of gauging the feeling of the population. Why do you think so many political polls are commissioned? And, on your last point, the fight goes on.

Dodgy polls are meaningless. Scots regional government has no power to overrule our national government in the Commons.
Our national government says no. The courts say no.
And Scotland has already voted (in 2014). Scotland already said NO.

Repeating the same old mantra is not going to make the YES movement go away. We now have another platform to work on - the denial of Scottish democracy, the fact that it is now clear that we have no voice in this disunited kingdom. We are being held prisoner with no chance of getting out. Those Opinion Polls were taken AFTER the Supreme Court judgement. It seems many undecideds have moved to YES. It remains to be seen if they remain there or drift back to the DK stable.

No voice? - you have 59 MP's in Parliament how many more do you want? And you have 533. The 59 Scots, especially the SNP ones are ignored e.g. amendments to Smith Commission bill. Shouted down every time one speaks e.g. why do you think Blackford had to raise his voice when speaking: even with a microphone he had to do so. The Supreme Court judgement proves that Scotland is a prisoner, incarcerated in the UK jail. What we were always told by unionists, that the UK was a voluntary union has been proven to be one big lie. A con to keep the Scots happy, letting us believe that we could leave at any time. When push came to shove, when independence became a real probability, the reality of how the establishment views Scotland came flooding out. We are seen as a possession of England. Scotland rather than being in a Union of equals is actually under colonial rule.

59 MPs to Scotlands population of 5.45m works out at 1 MP per 98.4 thousand people. 533 MPs to Englands population of 55.98 million works out at 1 MP per 105 thousand people. Scotlands voters are better represented than Englands. Better represented still are the Welsh at 1 MP per 78,400 people. Northern Ireland have 1 MP per 104,722 people.
England are the worst represented of everyone, and are without devolution. There is no English Parliament to offset this effect.
Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland all have devolution.
Quit sulking Morayloon.

No voice? - you have 59 MP's in Parliament how many more do you want? And you have 533. So Scotland should have an equivalent number of MP's as England irrespective that it has only 10% of the population? - you are having a laugh. The Scottish representatives are not ignored - it was only 12 years ago that one of them was the PM. Don't bleat to me - do something about it.

There should be some mechanism whereby the three other nations get a fair deal. Just now England gets what England wants regardless of the democratic view in NI, Scotland & Wales. Brexit is a case in point 2. What has a former PM got to do with anything? Both Blair & Brown are Unionists who are happy with the present settlement. 3. I was merely saying what Scotland's position is in the UK as was proclaimed in the SC judgement. The problem with doing 'something' is that 50% of the electorate are against Independence, to a greater or lesser extent. The recent polls show that, at the moment, we are winning the argument.

Just now England gets what England wants regardless of the democratic view in NI, Scotland & Wales. Brexit is a case in point So now you are asking for a Veto for Scotland. How are you going to cope in the EU (should you ever become independent) where Vetos are being phased out?. Or is your only problem with the english? You claimed Scottish representatives were ignored in Parliament - Scots dont have to be in favour of independence to be a valid representative. Well surely in that case you would be better off trying to find out why you cannot convince your fellow Scots rather than complaining about the Constitutional settlement. Once you have a majority then you can start working out the mechanics of leaving.
