Starmer is only 61 and Sunak is barely out of nappies and their campaign has all the excitement of a Horlicks advert. Meanwhile, the Yanks have Biden and Trump, two mad old men who may not be competent to run a pie cart in Battersea High Street, but it has to be said that they do keep the sparks flying
What do you think ?

44 is middle aged, not barely out of nappies! π
I definitely think we're in a better position than the Yanks, they have their first debate on Thursday, and it will be a wonder if either of them have a clue what they're talking about.
Middle age is when people are at their prime, with the experience.

After the next election, once the necessary legislation is passed to give the School kids the vote, we will surely see the average age of our elected politicians drop correspondingly, as well as desperate attempts to identify more with the 'yoof'. Give it 15 years before a Youtube or a Tiktok Influencer is Prime Minister. If the Chinese and Russians don't already look upon Western society with a mixture of disdain and pity, then they soon will do.
We're transitioning from Hug-a-Hoodie to Elect-a-Hoodie !

The cut off point for a US presidential candidate should be 65 tops, I can't believe that Biden and Trump are the best America has to offer, and if they are the WORLD is in real BIG trouble.

Exactly. But the constitution puts a minimum age on, but not a maximum age. We're complaining about Sunak v Starmer, but Biden v Trump is worse.

It's sad but true to even think about running a US presidential campaigner if you are not MEGA wealthy, or have some serious wealthy backers.
Potential American presidents have now come down to who's got the most money to sell themselves or buy votes, forget about honesty, integrity, brains, qualifications, suitability, charisma it all boils down to ......... MONEY.

Trump hasn't got any, hence why he's running gofundmes for his court costs.

As president of the United States, Donald Trump was likely the wealthiest individual ever to inhabit the White House. But his actual net worth remains a matter of debate. In 2015, Trump claimed in a press release that he was worth more than $10 billion.1 In June 2024, the Bloomberg Billionaires Index put Trumpβs net worth at $7.7 billion, up by $4.6 billion since the year prior, making him one of the 500 richest people in the world.2 Forbes magazine, however, which has been tracking Trump's wealth for decades, estimates it at $6.7 billion as of June 2024.

I don't think he wants 1$ of his own personal money going to some 'get rich quick' Gold digger.
Can you blame him?
