Starmer is only 61 and Sunak is barely out of nappies and their campaign has all the excitement of a Horlicks advert. Meanwhile, the Yanks have Biden and Trump, two mad old men who may not be competent to run a pie cart in Battersea High Street, but it has to be said that they do keep the sparks flying What do you think ? Well.......Seeing the pigs ear our Governments have made of things over the last few decades I would propose a maximum age of 10 ,the primary schoolkids really couldn't do any worse and at least you know they will be sober and won't get caught selling their council house or in betting shops

Wedgewood Ben, on his death bed recanted all his left wing bo nnalacks. The older the better, if i compare myself now at 67 to the person i was at 18, there is no comparison. Expressed emotion is lower, its a guage in psychiatry to psychiatric breakdown if theres a lot breakdown is far more likely.
For instance, getting angry. Michael Portillo is an example of low expressed emotion, even in extremis, and in his response to whatever, its more devastasting. Being in control is always good, older people are better at it.

I think age is bugger all to do with it
What counts is work experience
Hedge Fund Management and getting on the oayroll at daddy’s factory are not examples of work experience. Neither is a political science degree and several years unpaid internships

After the next election, once the necessary legislation is passed to give the School kids the vote, we will surely see the average age of our elected politicians drop correspondingly, as well as desperate attempts to identify more with the 'yoof'. Give it 15 years before a Youtube or a Tiktok Influencer is Prime Minister. If the Chinese and Russians don't already look upon Western society with a mixture of disdain and pity, then they soon will do. We're transitioning from Hug-a-Hoodie to Elect-a-Hoodie ! A few 16 or 17 year olds voting will only make up a small percentage of the electorate so the massive impact your are implying will result is most a figment of wrinkly imaginations.

Thatcher was 74 when she resigned. Even now she'd make a better leader than Trump, and she's been dead 11 years.
