I'll interpret your non answer as worse now. I think most people would agree. But that's not down to the Tories per se.
Labour inherited a well functioning economy and royally fucked it. The Tories inherited the resultant mess and then had a global pandemic, war in Ukraine and a resultant energy crisis piled on top.
That we are not way worse off is something of a minor miracle, all things considered.
Why did you feel free to mention Covid, Ukraine and Energy, but not the global crisis? If you're trying to be equitable?

The global crisis was mainly the US with a domino effect on the UK, we only got the shock waves, but Labour were to dumb to ride it, hence the reason they almost bankrupt the country, imagine if they'd have been in charge with the Global pandemic and the Ukraine ware and energy crisis, we'd be well and truly fucked.

There was a global crisis in 2000 when the dot com boom went bust and a global recession hit, but, for some reason we were unaffected (having a budget surplus helped).
Gordon Brown boasted of his economic prowess and Labour called a snap election in 2001, which they won, but with a much reduced vote.

How Many Terms Do We Think Labour Will Have?
Hopefully two — it will take the Conservative & Unionist Party at least that long for the Tunbridge Wells Blue Rinse and Col Blimp type membership to drop off the twig and for its leaders to return to being a One Nation Party championing wealth, welfare and individual achievement...

Well, becoming New Labour hasn't helped them so far so I'm not sure that more of the same will do the trick.
That said, the country is apparently on the verge of voting for exactly that so who knows?

It's lovely that people think, that after the last 14 years, continuing to follow the One Nation Tories is the way to success..

The conservative party is done PP . If Reform don't become the opposition party in the UK Labour will be in power for a very long time . We all know Labour will be our next government probably migrating left in the years to come . What and who have the conservatives got to offer ? I just can't see a leader among them ,who's going to stand opposite Starmer next month and fight for the centre right and right wing politics . Love him or hate him I'd rather have Farage putting Starmer down than ,well who ? So for me it will depend on the opposition .The conservatives will be sitting in opposition for many years .If its Farage you might just have a conservative party in 10 years even though it might be called the Reform Party

As Andrew Brown once told me, he hadn't voted for any of this, so now by far the biggest majority won't have voted for any of this, so how long do you think it will be before their voices will be heard against a government they never voted for then?

According to see2 they are now called 'Next Labour', but they still take orders from head office New Labour, they can't call themselves New Labour now, because of the Tory lies and misinformation they spread about them ...
