you have some neck posting that guff with the way starmer has purged the fucking Labour Party of every true working class socialist , and sent carpetbaggers to the four corners of the uk over the heads of the local labour groups wether they liked it or not. Thats all you labour clowns have , mud slinging and name calling , and not a brain cell between the lot of you. No wonder you got half a million votes less than Corbyn did in 2019. A "Left wing" orthodox "Socialist" Labour Party cannot win a general election, hence the record majorities of firstly Tony Blair, and now Keir Starmer, as opposed to the disasters of Michael Foot ( 1983 ) and Jeremy Corbyn ( 2019 ). The days of TUC membership of 12 million people and mass production, heavy industry, mines and shipyards, brothers and comrades, has gone. Labour can no longer win elections with factions, it cannot win elections without the middle class or middle England, including people who sometimes vote Tory. No one knows what the result would have been if Reform UK did not exist, we can only guess, smaller parties are attracting more support these days, and our FPTP system throws up warped and distorted results. Keir starmer was awarded an election win by fptp with half million voters less than so called left wing labour got under corbyn in 2019. Your party mantra that labour have to sacrifice principles and morals to win at all cost doesn't match reality , but is merely a coward trying to explain why he has sold out. Not only are you destroying your party medium term , but you are destroying the very political system you rely on , and will reap what you are sowing as a consequence.

Labour didn't win, the Tories lost more votes and Labour filled the void.

Standing still as a party( or in stammers case receding in terms of votes by Half million) and other parties falling past you isnt the sign of a healthy party with morals and principles admired by the population. Labour win when people stay at home.

Labour won the 2024 general election with the system and rules that apply - Labour got more votes than any other political party 9.7 Million votes, to the Tories 6.8 Million votes, and its as simple as that.
In 2019 Reform UK or UKIP were non-existent, but in 2024 Reform got 4.1 Million votes, the Green Party got a million more votes in 2024, the smaller parties gained at the expense of bigger parties.

Labour should have got a third of the seats and been the biggest party then shouldn't they? Not two thirds of seats unrepresentative of the small vote share they got.

That's just your opinion, change the rules then you change the vote, which doesn't mean we would not have got a Labour government. You have been whinging about Labour for probably 20 years, you found it impossible to give Labour any credit for the good they did, so its time for you to wake up and understand that you are not so much interested in changing the voting system, your real interest is to denigrate and to deselect Labour.

A metaphor for Labours policy forum? Or Tory compassion for others. Or Tory competence. Or Tory fiscal responsibility. Or Tory respect foe the armed forces. Or Tory respect for the Law. Or Tory respect for British Core Values. All The Best

Immigration should have been paused in 2020 for quarantine reasons.
They didn't.
New Zealand did.
We could have.

All the Farage has done invited you to step outside your box as denoted by the establishment and into his box. How that works out is entirely your own doing.

What are the British Core Values that the Tories had no respect for? Law and Order. Democracy. Fairness. Having a Moral Compass. All The Best Are you seriously putting up the latest government of having those things and what happened to the British love of freedom and the revulsion of not being able to live your own life in freedom from constant central control, as was once the priority in a cold war scenario?

What are the British Core Values that the Tories had no respect for? Law and Order. Democracy. Fairness. Having a Moral Compass. All The Best I can't disagree.
I'd hoped that after the 2010 coalition the Tories would have learned from why they were rejected, kept their Democratic principles, absorbed the Fairness for working people that Maggie's curtailing of Trades Union power allowed, and supported her single market vision.
I did not expect the austerity that caused the severe depletion of the instruments of law and order, education, the NHS, and the cost of living crisis that's now impacting not far short of half UK households.
It's not surprising that so many voters turned against the Tories last week...

Whats just my opinion? It's fact labour got a third of votes , 20% of the electorate , no mandate from the people , but fptp awarded them a disgraceful 64% of seats. Im happy to accept democracy , but this isnt democracy. Labour only win when we all stay at home. As. for the good labour allegedly did , I see your hero starmer is already getting to well worn excuses out that things are much worse for his government than he imagined , codeword for not following through with election promises as per normal. You will be judged on what you do during your term in power .Im looking forward to it massively.
