Good stuff!
"The report also reveals the growing use of long-term sentences. More than two and a half times as many people were sentenced to 10 years or more in 2018 than in 2006. For serious indictable offences, the average prison sentence is now 58.3 months, over two years longer than in 2006. According to a 2013 report by prison and probation inspectors into life sentences, such numbers are likely to increase as judges are imposing substantially longer tariff periods with the average minimum term for murder having risen from 12.5 years in 2003 to 21.3 years in 2016..."
Sentencing is still too soft but at least it's going in the right direction.

Indeed. It won't be long before the UK catches up with Russia in the incarceration league tables.

It is their religion not mine, if people do not want to live under their regime or rules or religion then they leave, the UK can take them as refugees if they can provide evidence their lives are risk if they return to the country.
How Saudi deals with its law breakers is out of my control, most people in this country who break the law are given a pat on the back, and a 'please don't do that again', and you can clearly see the results of that stance.
You have quite clearly stated in other threads that you don't want asylum seekers entering the country illegally. I'll ask you the same question that Suella Braverman was asked by the home office committee this week. If I am suffering persecution in a country (such as Saudi Arabia), what legal channel is available for me to seek asylum in the UK? And you know full well I said 'illegal migrants' coming from France and Albania.
If there are genuine asylum seekers/refugees who are coming from Saudi to the UK, and have genuine reasons why they can't go back to Saudi for fear of their lives, then yes let them claim asylum here.
It is illegal migrants coming from Albania and France who are making a mockery of the UK immigration system, when there are genuine people like Ukraine who need our help, not freeloading Albanian young men who have no legal right to stay in the UK.

How would you suggest your “genuine” Saudi goes about claiming the asylum you want to give him in UK?

I'm not surprised you couldn't answer the question, neither could Suella. I'll ask again, what legal channel is open for them to be able to claim asylum in the UK?

I'll say again, put your listening ears on this time.
The same way they've been coming to the UK for many many years, or do you think every migrant has come to the UK via a dinghy in France lol
How do you think the UK has had asylum seekers for years and years, it's not a new concept.
I bet you don't like that answer either lol

Sunak is the son of migrants, they didn't arrive in the UK via a dinghy from France. I can't believe idiots even ask that question. Sunak was born in Southampton to parents of Indian descent who migrated to Britain from East Africa in the 1960s
lol they did not come from France via a dinghy
How did they get here.... it must have been the migrant fairy brought them LOL

Are you claiming there is a conventional way of the “gay Saudi” getting here to claim asylum? What is it?

One of many success stories if you want something really bad.

He came over with his sister and never returned back, that was the way.
How do you think Sunak's parents got here from Africa in the 60s, how do you think millions of migrants/asylum seekers/ refugees or what ever you want to call them have settled here in the UK, are you really that stupid, or do you think all these millions have came across from France in a dinghy? HOw have all the millions of migrants/asylum seekers/refugees managed in the past to get to the UK?

Immigration rules have changed a bit since the 60s.
There aren’t millions of people who first arrived here via asylum. In a few isolated cases there maybe a conventional route here but not for the vast majority. In recent past most people arriving here to claim asylum did so in the back of lorries or containers. In the last couple of years that has switched to small boats. Does it matter to you which of those two methods was adopted?

How would you suggest your “genuine” Saudi goes about claiming the asylum you want to give him in UK? Speak to an immigration officer at Heathrow or go to the Home Office asylum intake unit in Croydon.
