No different from most other European leagues afaik. I think that's the point being made to dan though. It's normal for smaller footballing nations to be dominated by the same few teams. In scotland , its rangers and Celtic , in holland , psv , Ajax and Feyenoord , and even In the bigger nations , Barcelona and real have dominated Spanish football. However , it is unusual whats happening in England with Man City. Could be just the natural progression of the buying trophies model of the modern era , where Man City are now so fabulously wealthy the rest in your country can't touch them. Or it could be the rumours of financial impropriety , and the 115 charges of corruption and financial misconduct mean like Glasgow rangers , they are cheating. Time will tell. There was time where Liverpool and Man U were untouchable. As far as I remember it was always Rangers and Celtic in Scotland . Although there was a time when Rangers went skint and it was Celtic that reigned supreme…iirc. I think you are pushing a non point here Thomas .

High time there was a British football league and all clubs competed together at different tiers depending on their skills.
Abolish the boundaries. Scotland is not a proper country, nor is England. The UK is a country. Have one united league for one united country and one national team at the World Cup.

The SNATS's fear they will struggle to afford the 2024 general election campaign because of the party’s ongoing financial woes. “There’s no money,” one SNAT source told i. “The party isn’t a good financial position.” Leader John Swinney has acknowledged the SNAT’s lack of resources – insisting that the party would “find the money” for its campaign from supporters in the days ahead.

Apart from Celtic and Rangers is there any Scottish teams worth watching ? I am not really a football fan (rugby is my game) but I go along to watch Ayr United now and again. I doubt they are worth watching from an elitist’s point of view (elitist they most certainly are not) butI it is a welcoming, friendly club and I always enjoy myself. As for them being worth watching, not if you are looking for elite level football. However, like all sport, while quality is obviously a factor, for me the key ingredient is competitiveness and, when it comes to that, they find themselves in their fair share of competitive matches. I find that, irrespective of quality, these are usually the best and definitely the most absorbing to watch.

They are going to have a lot less money coming in after the general election when their numbers at Westminster plummet and their funding from the public purse drops accordingly. Such a pity!

So, 65.5% of us see our Nationality as Scottish only; Scottish & British stands at 8.2% down 10.1%; British only is up 5.5% to 13.9% I must say that the 65.5% figure is encouraging (up 3.1%) as it shows more people willing to identify as Scottish. It is good news because of the 90,400 population drop in Scots born, allied with an influx of 49,200 born elsewhere in the UK. Also there were 185,600 overseas born. The number of people stating dual identity has dropped dramatically, with British only overtaking it. It looks as though national identity is polarising and it is the Scottish/British category which is losing out So what? If these are figures from the most recent census that our SNP SG totally fucked up then I am not so sure that the question asked was about nationality but about feelings - and I am sure that all bar the wilfully delusional amongst us understand that being Scottish makes us British nationals. I am also pretty sure that most of us, whether we describe ourselves as Scottish only ( as I do) or not, understand that Scotland benefits too much from being part of the UK to want to walk away. If you doubt that then just wait for July 4th’s count or look at recent opinion poll results which show little or no movement since the 2014 indyref despite more of us feeling Scottish now than then, despite the horrors of the last decade, and despite so many of the NO voting older generation having passed away since then. Unless and until there is a credible and robust economic model that stands up to scrutiny which demonstrates that Scotland and its people would be better off financially rather than economically devastated then nothing is going to move that dial anywhere near far enough to deliver independence.

Isn't that what you are doing by pursuing separation?

Let's raise the EU flag with pride. Yep raise it up your arse.. Well taking of arses...... I think that perhaps you and other volunteers from the Daily Mail readership should all be lined up on the White Cliffs of Dover with your backs to the sea, trousers down, and mooning at the boat people to show our national displeasure.

You should be ready to take your seat amongst the Reich. Let's raise the EU flag with pride. Hate to break this to you, but your idol, Tony Benn was heavily against the EU, and its predecessor the EEC (because the Commission are not elected).

The scottish identity is about men wearing skirts and eating a sheeps tummy.
