Wine! LOL you poof. If you're going to celebrate do it properly, get a few pints of wife beater down yer neck. Wine indeed, lol. I'll be celebrating with beer after Nigel Farage (who is actually centre-right to those of us on planet Earth) does win Clacton. Well I'm going to be watching the results come in and I suspect I'll be drowning my sorrows, although never say never. And yes I'll certainly be cheering Nigel winning Clacton. I cant wait to see him in the HoC giving Starmer both barrels.

The Tories need a kick up the arse and time to reorganise themselves, but Nigel will help show them the way.

And a bottle of Spitfire (come on, what else could possibly serve the purpose) for the Clacton On Sea result, I like whisky although I'm not particularly a fan of Lagavulin if I'm honest. This evening I shall probably quaff a few beers, and I may celebrate Nigel's success with something a little stiffer, we'll see.

You're only saying that to bait people. No one with an IQ in double figures could possibly think Major or Merkel was centre right.

He was fucking chancellor under Thatcher. You claiming he was left wing or something? Dear God man. The Tories are a centre-right to right wing party.

Major was never a centre right Conservative. Even as prime minister his back benchers referred to him as centrist. If you knew anything about him you would know this. " From the start of his premiership to the end some of his colleagues regarded him as a slightly left of centre, others as slightly right of centre". It's all here - link

No debating with steve (not Red) the other one, in his mind he's always right, then turns to insults when the evidence produced proves him wrong.

I'd probably accept that Reform are populists..any politician who strives to appeal to ordinary people who feel that their concerns are disregarded by established elite groups is a populist. What they are not is 'radical' - they dont have a radical policy in their cupboard.

I'm out of Lagavulin, I've got a bottle of Toki though, a limited edition bottle of Japanese Whisky, it's very good. May have some of that tomorrow.

Populism is what shot UKIP into the frame, Reform are much more Conservative in the scheme of things, UKIP were non-conformist the outlaws if you like, Reform is much more conformist. They don't offer any form of true democracy.

So what are people's majority predictions? I'm going for a 206 seat majority for Labour. I'll guess about 185 majority for Labour, similar to Tony Blair in 1997, when I decided to leave Britain.
