Hopefully their forecasting skills have improved since last year. So their GDP prediction was just 2% wrong in £ terms. And seeing as how world comparisons of GDP need to be looked at in internationally comparable terms and the £ fell after that March 2021 prediction it seems they actually got it dead right for comparisons.

Maybe we should just get our Economic Forecast advice from (ex?)-Nazi George Soros in future … he was v. active in Ukraine in 2015 … and predicted the Soros Empire would soon be replacing the Soviet Empire. Schwab and he no doubt engineered the unelected appointment of Rishi Sunak to run our Country without the Electorate’s mandate for 2 years … just the period of these OECD disaster stats … so are they engineering further defunding of the UK Economy??…. surely that isn’t fiscally possible? … considering what European and World Financial Institutions have achieved since Soros bankrupted the Bank of England in the early 90’s. That’s what happens when you leave Nazi Mafia crooks in charge of UK Finance and Banking. Ho hum!💩 Just more trash from your conspiracy minded self.__"As a prominent political activist and supporter of left-wing causes, Hungarian-born billionaire financier George Soros has frequently been the target of smear campaigns, and none more odious than the persistent — and false — claim that Soros, a Jew, was a Nazi sympathizer, collaborator, and/or paramilitary officer during World War II. That Soros was only nine years old (born in 1930) when the war broke out and all of 14 when Nazi Germany surrendered in May 1945 hasn't dampened his detractors' enthusiasm for spreading these rumors, including the absurd claim, which first surfaced in November 2016, that Soros literally served as an officer of the paramilitary Schutzstaffel (SS) in Germany. www.snopes.com/fact-check/george-soros-ss-nazi-germany/It’s you who brought up the claim he was in the SS, not me. Please point out what is inaccurate and trash in my statement??….. Make this good … one day you may end up in Court over your allegations calling people out for inaccuracy. You and Snopes are morally bankrupt supporting a lowlife scumbag like George Soros …. a person who has sown so much misery and hardship around the whole world: People can judge for themselves the true history of George Soros … and the self-interest in all his philanthropy. ….here, in his own words … spoken by George Soros: ia801902.us.archive.org/14/items/George_Soros_1998_60_Minutes_Interview/George_Soros_1998_60_Minutes_Interview.mp4(Duration: ~ 13 mins … good luck trying to whitewash GS’s reputation from this interview: As one financier states here: “a CARNIVORE of the worst order”) It’s interesting how the Zionist NAZIS of Google/Youtube back Soros’s World Domination Agenda (note in this interview his early interference in Ukraine) … and have been caught repeatedly removing this damning interview from Youtube … just to further the misery of Countries around the World suffering from Soros’s GREED. Every time it’s removed … anti-Nazis post it back up again … to show the World the true reptilian nature of George Soros. …a man who thinks he’s God, doesn’t believe in God(not a big fault in my book, tbh) …. but clearly worships the Devil. In the case of George Soros …. his was NOT a “Wonderful Life” … he is just a loathed “Mr Potter” in all our lives … and many people would be alive and much much happier today if the likes of George Soros had never been born.youtu.be/SDcVycz0OHM[This brilliant film … “It’s a Wonderful Life” with James Stewart … made by Frank Capra in 1946 … a year after the 15 year old George Soros wasn’t ending his career working for the Nazis confiscating the property of fleeing Jews during the war - just switching it to target everyone in the World instead] Rapacious ‘greed’ like this needs to be wiped out.] Your ilk wouldn’t know right from wrong if it slapped you in the face, See 2.👎 When it comes to trash, See 2 … look in the mirror💩 … and don’t bother churning out a defence of George Soros - even Nelson Mandela knew he was a total scumbag. … and that’s from a criminal who married the odious Winnie Mandela and also had ‘skills’ getting the MSM to whitewash his past too. Another “darling” of Western Leftist Anarchists.🙄 ********************************************************************** …. Meanwhile … back to Economic Contraction engineered by Soros and Schwab and the WEF …and their traitorous stooge … Rishi Sunak. … a typical immigrant Tory back-stabber … like Boris Johnson, Pritti Patel, Savid Javid and even Labour sham Sadiq Khan. … none of these executed any bits of Brexit we wanted and Voted for … none were working in indigenous Briton’s interests … the interests of the Majority of this Country … as marginalised by the MSM today … especially the BBC, ITV, CH4 and CH5 … ALL working for Globalist Totalitarians. Much like most MP’s today. Nothing changes. Things just get worse.. Guy Fawkes had the right idea what to do with the House of Commons. A hero to many Britons now 👏👏 … who dearly wish Fawkes and his fellow plotters had fulfilled their destiny.👍 …. a sad commentary on our current political state.💩🤬🤬

mfel, you have an extremely annoying avatar. And I notice there are no black faces. 'Sir'(lol) Lenny Henry would not approve. You aught to install ad blocker for those annoying images, and especially gifs. Just right-click the image and press block and it is gone.

Good one but it means that I've had to re-enable Ad Blocking for this site which means if we all do that we're free loading off Pro Boards and that's less than the moral high ground and sooner or later Pro Boards will counter ad blocking. It would be better if such avatars were clearly against the rules here (as they were on the old site) See rules thread for a discussion of this ukpoliticsdebate.boards.net/post/23129/thread

Regarding revenue for the site from advertising, I think if people cut out the endless 50pg BS threads on immigration we might have a few more customers. Actually I recall an earlier forum like this one and the ads which were displayed were stuff like protect yourself with this million volt personal protection device, most likely to appeal to paranoid Trump lunatics of the Far Right. It was chilling reading them.

Is more to do with how we handled Covid rather than Brexit or anything else. Erecting trading barriers with reams of extra red tape and border delays between ourselves and our nearest and largest foreign market has surely had a negative impact has it not? We were not alone re covid. It affected everyone else too so does not explain why our performance is exceptionally bad. Brexit is the obvious reason.

Compared to our record slump the year before. We are clearly lagging.

Compared to our record slump the year before. We are clearly lagging. Our record slump due to shutting down the economy for the Chinese Flu you mean.. But just think - without Brexit none of that would have ever happened....

But just think - without Brexit none of that would have ever happened.... In fact, almost everyone shut down their economies. Our record slump compared to others must have an additional factor, and Brexit is likely to be it. Can you explain how added tariff barriers, reams of extra red tape at our borders and much worse delays between ourselves and our nearest and largest foreign market has supposedly not hindered trade? Because it is logically obvious that it will have done, as logically obvious as getting warmer when the sun comes out. If you deny that you are in simple denial.

But just think - without Brexit none of that would have ever happened.... Yes, of course if you close the economy the economy shrinks. The point that I'm making is that our economy shrank more than others who also closed their economies. So much so that the "record growth" last year didn't bring us back to where we were. Of course that isn't conclusive proof that this is due to Brexit, but I can't think of a better theory. Can you?

Because it is logically obvious that it will have done, as logically obvious as getting warmer when the sun comes out. If you deny that you are in simple denial. Take a closer look at the examples given at the time of why it took so long. All the paperwork was just that - on paper using some min wager to fill it all in by hand and then someone at the other end to read it all by hand. Compare this to China - UK deliveries. You can track the time it takes to get through customs and see it takes only minutes . You see it is all computerised and automated, so no human hands even touch the goods. In time the spastics who run this country will either learn the hard way and go bust or learn the easy way and get it all automated. It's just a case of not being ready when the change came. I don't suppose they had even heard of Brexit up in their floaty ivory towers - probably more concerned with which makeup to wear.

Well, with the notable exception of Russia, and only slightly worse than Germany, who are paying their cold-turkey fee for having been dependent on RuZZian gas for so long. But otherwise - Brexit is really paying off well, isn't it?
What a parrot you are. There was nothing wrong with buying cheap energy from Russia. The problem was not buying it. They just don't get it,or don't want to,we have actually sanctioned ourselves but some are too thick to see most of the economic damage is self inflicted because of some deranged ideology and slave mentality to America,i mean it looks like the Germans were compicite in blowing up their own pipeline on US orders, now looks like the Government are going to pay people to use less energy here this winter LOL!!

Support for maintaining economic sanctions on Russia( YouGov-Cambridge poll 24 August to 22 September) UK 73% Denmark 72% Sweden 71% Spain 69% Australia 68% Saudi Arabia 35% Turkey 35% Egypt 34% Hungary 32% Indonesia 25%
Willingness to maintain sanctions if they cause a small or large increase in living costs
UK 63% & 49% respectively.
Support for sending light and heavy weapons for Ukraine to use against Russian forces inside Ukraine
UK 62% & 57% respectively.
If anyone tried to convince you that brainwashing does not work/not present in the UK, well here's the proof that we live amongst the UK's economic equivalent of suicide bombers.
