The BBC must call Hamas “terrorists” Lord Cameron has urged after the Palestinian group claimed a British-Israeli hostage had died. The Foreign Secretary said the BBC should “ask itself again” about how it labelled Hamas following the Oct 7 attack on Israel in which more than 1,100 people died. Lord Cameron was speaking after Hamas released a video showing Nadav Popplewell, a British-Israeli hostage, who the group claimed had died in Gaza after being wounded in an Israeli air strike a month ago.The Foreign Secretary told the BBC’s Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg programme that it was “callous” of Hamas to release the video, and thus “play with the family’s emotions in that way”. But he noted: “Maybe it’s a moment actually for the BBC to ask itself again, shall we describe these people as terrorists? They are terrorists.”www.telegraph.co.uk/politics/2024/05/12/bbc-must-call-hamas-terrorists-lord-cameron-demands/It's no use Cameron telling Kuenssberg the left wing BBC should refer to terrorists as terrorists. Sunak should be summoning Tim Davie to downing street for a dressing down. He should be left in absolutely no doubt that the BBC must stop their sympathetic reporting not only of terrorists, but of left wing anarchists who support terrorists. I don't think we have ever had a softer government in this country which is why disruptive lefties feel free to do as they please. It's time Sunak grew a pair because one thing is for sure, it will get a damned sight worse if Labour get in.

They're not just terrorists, they're Islamic religious lunatic terrorists. Perhaps this is why the BBC are sympathetic towards Hamas. The BBC tend to be sympathetic towards anything Islamic.

It's time that the lefty BBC was binned off or at least removed from public funding.

Agreed, the BBC is a terrorist platform today. Has it been anything else for the last 20 years?

If the BBC MUST refer to Hamas as terrorists because Hamas killed 1100 innocent Israeli civilians
Then it must also follow that the BBC MUST refer to the Israeli Defence Force also as terrorists, because they have killed 35,000 people ... MOST of which have been civilians, and a large part been women and children.
But the bottom line in all of this is that the government must not be allowed to interfere in the independence of the BBC's editorial content.

Gary Lineker is embroiled in another Gaza row as he is accused of being 'tone-deaf' after referring to the October 7 terror attacks in Israel as 'the Hamas thing'..... Gary Lineker has been slammed for making 'tone-deaf' comments after seemingly referring to the October 7 attacks on Israel as 'the Hamas thing'. The controversy-prone BBC commentator made the remark on the British-American broadcaster Medhi Hasan's Medhi Unfiltered programme. Discussing the ongoing war in Gaza, Lineker said: 'I can't think of anything that I've seen worse in my lifetime. The constant images of children losing their lives day in, day out. Lineker is the perfect proof those employed by the public sector which uses enforced taxation for unaccountable income are untouchable, in this case the BBC with its enforced license fee. Any other organisation he would have been sacked by now regardless of how many equally airhead friends he has in high places. 'Now obviously we all know October 7 happened, and the Hamas thing, but the minute you raise your voice against what they're now doing there, you get accused of being a supporter of Hamas.' Unicef confirmed more than 14,000 children have been killed and 12,000 wounded in Gaza since Hamas's attacks on Israel on October 7 last year. More than 33,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza. More than 1,100 people died in Hamas's attack against Israel on October 7, while more than 250 were taken to Gaza as hostages, Israeli tallies say. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13410495/Gary-Lineker-embroiled-Gaza-row-accused-tone-deaf-referring-October-7-terror-attacks-Israel-Hamas-thing.html

Gary Lineker is 100% CORRECT
Everyone talks about the 1100 innocent Israeli's who were murdered
But as soon as anyone mentions the so far ... 35,000 Palestinians who are dead, people seemingly are not interested, most of all the Israeli's.
Gary Linekar has a right to his opinions, and if the BBC come under any presure to get rid of him, he will be snapped up by a competitor, so those who moan may as well Shut The F*** Up

Hamas is a legally proscribed terrorist organisation. Israel is not. For god sake, tell me you understand...

They come across as if they're afraid of Muslims. The BBC takes the classic Chamberlain & appeasement approach - it didn't work back in the 1930's, and it's not going to work now.
