Sadiq Khan was first elected Mayor of London in 2016, then in 2021 (delayed due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic), and for a third term in 2024...

All local, mayoral and Police and Crime Commissioner elections in May 2020 were postponed.
So Khan's second term, following the postponed election in 2021, was shortened to a three-year term, thus allowing the election cycle to get back to four-year terms with the election in 2024...

No confusion my end khanage was even more unpopular during covid than he is now and it could well of been a different story if the election was held on time. |
