Looks like only I'm going to be 50% happy — ie, Hall won't be elected. Unfortunately, Khan will be. So, unless we get a Labour government that insists London is professionally run, we're in for another four years of a Mayor who's less popular than his party... Talking of popularity. Hall got a larger percentage of the vote in London (which is inherently left wing territory) than the Tories did as a whole throughout the rest of the country. Seems that Tory wets are even less popular than Trump supporting rightwing candidates.  ...looks like trying to be New Labour is a vote loser for the Tories. Who would have thought. It looks like Tories, trying to go further in their mismanagement and nastiness than Theresa May’s Nasty Party in their attempt to chase the Far Right, are even pissing their own off. But even Reform hasn’t attracted enough to make a significant mark on local politics. That must confuse the ERG and other Tories worried about their pay, and leave them frantically embellishing their CVs. So if Farage decides to try and pick up some of Trump’s notoriety by swanning off to the US, it looks like the Greens and LibDems are the parties to attract the protest votes… |

I thought those in mid English channel were not expected to vote.....Only a fucking idiot would think it were the will of the people when only a small percentage of the electorate could be bothered to get off their fat lazy arses to vote.
