So it appears that John Swinney will be the next First Minister after Kate Forbes decided not to apply for the job. Mr Swinney served as deputy to Nicola Sturgeon and therefore is an ideal "continuity candidate" to ensure, among other things, that certain investigations will never reach completion.Kate Forbes came under huge fire and criticism from the Greens because she is a Christian, so in order to keep the Greens at the trough the SNP went for the easy option. So more of the same for the unfortunate people of Scotland, although my sympathy is limited as they did vote these morons into power after all. How so? Did Nicola's position prevent investigations against her husband?

From the Gov web site If he had done his job properly then his opinions wouldn't be the case. I think Scotland has enough problems without adding being an EU Member don't you? Regardless of whose fault it is, the conclusion remains that Scotland, as a result of Brexit, is now more likely to secede.

It's hilarious to hear a xenophobic anglophobic cultist described as "very knowledgeable".
All she knows is how to ride gravy trains, extort money from the English and bitch about the English.

Regardless of whose fault it is, the conclusion remains that Scotland, as a result of Brexit, is now more likely to secede. I know that Philip Rycroft was saying that sort of thing around the time that the SNP group at Westminster helped to facilitate the imposition of Boris Johnson’s brutal version of Brexit upon the Scottish people by announcing that they would support the general election that he craved towards the end of 2019, but is he still saying that? That might have been the case back then but the “imposition of Brexit upon us against our will” manufactured grievance that Indy supporting parties milked to death back then with a degree of success seems to me to have just faded into the background and is now just another one of those items on the standard Indy whinge list that continues to wind up committed separatists but which washes over the rest of us. Certainly, whatever impact it may have had it is not enough to make the dial move much nowadays, if at all, towards independence. And that makes sense because Brexit actually diminishes the case for independence, irrespective of the damage it might be doing. That’s because, now that the UK is out of the EU, an Indy Scotland would now have to choose between frictionless trading with the EU or with rUK whereas back in 2014 it would not have had to face that choice but would, instead, have been able to enjoy that beneficial arrangement with both. So the choice going forward would be do we want 60% or 20% of our non-domestic trading to be frictionless? That is a no-brainer because 60% of a good thing is a lot better than 20% (or, at least, it should be a no-brainer but who knows how the twisted Indy zealot logic would work here) and that means either staying in the UK if we want to be certain of that 60%, or being out of both the UK and the EU and hoping that rUK would agree to a frictionless trading arrangement with us.

Happy and om15 have trashed you and Loon's nonsense on every thread, though. I thought this was why you ran away instead of posting little gifs to impress those who can't read.

is that a picture of one of ommy's loyal orange order cream bun sevco fans holding banners upside down rebirth? A loyal British football club famous for going bust in 2012 , after trying to diddle its own government out of millions? Looks about right.
