I have been wondering what advice the rabbi of the Jewish man in question might have given him had he been consulted. There have been a lot of pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University (an Ivy league university in New York), because of which Jewish rabbis are urging Jewish students to stay home and avoid confrontation. Of course, anyone else who suggests that avoiding the protests is the wisest course will be accused of wanting to create no-go areas for Jews. By definition areas where Jews are not allowed to go are 'no-go' areas. With regards to Columbia University - of course this is not the first time that people have formed human barricades to stop Jews entering a university.  |
