Gosh you'd think the NHS should be pretty much free wouldn't you. If you think the NHS is 'free' - then you are much bigger fool than I took you for.. God. Its like playing with a three year old. You carry on I'll be with the adults for a bit.

Time constraints due to working long hours prevent me from getting stuck in on this forum as much as I would like. I work in retail and it's a busy time of year in the sector with all hands on deck. But when I do rock up I often get the feeling that I am debating with children or simple plain old unthinking ideologues, selfish meanies, trolls, and people with their heads in the sand and their arses in the air. Makes me reluctant to get stuck in when I do rock up. Generally, after a near absence of several days I will browse through recent posts looking for something worthwhile to respond to. All the playground stuff going on makes this a struggle sometimes.

God. Its like playing with a three year old. You carry on I'll be with the adults for a bit. Adults realise that the NHS is not free. Well yes and no.
Aneurin Bevan had one of his rare moments of insights into human nature when he set uo the NHS, although it might also be said that Clem Attlee had an even better one when he insisted that Nye remain as minister of housing as well as minister of health. The result was that Bevan did not have time for his usual brilliant fireworks and infighting.
So he arranged that NHS contributions were collected through taxation, which meant that it was not free, but no one worried about the cost of treatment or making an insurance claim while lying in a hospital bed. And just to be on the safe side, the extra taxation was renamed National Insurance Contributions to disguise the fact that it was, in fact, an income tax rise.

Ah Nigel. They paid for the worst pension in the developed world... Probably because we spend so much subsidising the Jocks. ...Could you tell me the UKIP fascist policy on this. I don't think that UKIP have any fascist policies, unlike your SNAZIs. Well how much did the WE in all this subsidice the Jocks. And I see you are still having a problem in understand your right from your left. A Nazi is a right wing fascist. Neo Nazis are right wing fascist. The clue is in the title. Are you going to point to this magic fairy link of yours that houses left wing Nazis. Take your time. You still have not answered in over two years. So let me ask you again. What is the UKIP fascist policy on this. I take it you do not have a clue. And speaking of fascists . The policy of which the Nazis adopted from Mussolini. This is the wartime version of UKIP

Probably because we spend so much subsidising the Jocks. Good point.
Maybe we could make a start by canceling all the benefits for the Scots Nats and see how that works ?

Ah Botchy the one line wonder. Who is the WE in all this. And over the last 40 or so years. Energy rich Scotland has contributed some 9.6% of all UK tax with 8.4% of the population. Or to put it another way in the same time period. Scotland has contributed £222 billion more than it has taken out. That is under present constitutional arrangements. Try trebling that in reality. And the benefit bankrupt England is getting is being paid for now, are the compliments of the North sea oil and gas sector. You know the one the britnats ranted had run out. Despite the fact there is more than 40 years left if taken out at the same rate. To be wasted on bankrupt England. Guess what. Scotland is only relient on 4% of gas for its energy out put. And being screwed for billions by the National Grid. Subsidising bankrupt England. Because they cannot live within their means. And of course on the fanny spewed. Stupid oil companies are paying Westminster a fortune for over 100 licences looking for nothing. FFS you could not make it up. Would you care to correct that. Nah. You do not posses the ability. news.stv.tv/scotland/licences-to-drill-for-oil-in-900-north-sea-locations-open-for-offers

Do feel free to return to your echo chamber then, Shrieky. After all, having read some of your previous "Contributions" I think it's fair to say that we're unlikely to be missing much.

Oh how often we saw such comments on the other forum. And how we wondered why none of the guests joined and stayed for any amount of time. After all everyone knows that people interested in politics just love the childish crap that you get in answer to serious points on a political forum. By example. from another poster cornered and to small to admit it. "If you think the NHS is 'free' - then you are much bigger fool than I took you for.. " They look at this and 🙄 away.

Don't think anyone wonts to rob pensioners, if a pensioner has a private pension and he has a comfy a comfy lifestit .the reason he took out private pension so he can have a secure affordable income in is old age. Why Does he need the extra state pension . Thats why im suggesting to means test it. Usual ttl3 rubbish as I've explained before. Now tell us if someone is deprived of their private pension, wholly or in part, should they get all or part of their private contributions back? What TTL wants is an effective marginal tax rate of 100% on any income anyone receives more than TTL wants no matter how much they sacrificed in their working years to have a better pension.
