Vennells, the lawyers and the accountant have some explaining to do, except I think the accountant is probably in the clear after being sacked straight after reporting it. Here is the smoking gun.

Looks like it’s yesterdays news and todays chip paper, truth is though this does matter,it is no longer a matter of gongs being given back or apologies made, this needs to be pursued the same way the postmasters were and if found guilty jail time. link

It's all caving in now. They have just found an internal report 2016 called Bramble which details issues to demonstrate they knew about it whilst defending the Bates case. Now that is perverting the course of justice and lying in court.

Why are these 'covert recordings' only just coming to light now?

Why are these 'covert recordings' only just coming to light now? My guess is the team is no longer a team and at least one of them has double-crossed them. If you were in a job paying a lot of money and came across a recording on a computer, you might just like to copy it to a memory stick and chuck it in a draw for a rainy day. It might be that such a person got unfairly dismissed, or ripped off in some way.

Not sure, something isn't ringing right with me, the police and authorities are very reluctant to discuss how they get hold of recordings, they reckon even Tvs have the capability to be a recording device, and Alexa is also a snoop in your home, if you want a private conversation best find a open field and be naked.

It might be they have some policy of recording senior management meetings so they can remember what was said, i.e. for internal use. Perhaps it was done covertly, say if the office had recording equipment and someone flicked a mic switch, kind of thing.

I watch loads of the true life crimes series, on many occasions when they are putting their case to the court it says 'we can not reveal how we gathered this information, and it is part of our covert operations' ... so they are spying on people/us somehow, I reckon nearly every tech device in our homes is keeping and sending data on our behaviours, including 'smart meters'.

When I prosecuted HMRC they submitted a report on my telephone conversation with them which was basically telling them to FO and stop lying to me. That was rather revealing because they only submitted a report on it from the officer doing the earwigging. He said I was not too friendly. Now supposing the judge asked for a transcript then HMRC might not have found the evidence so helpful to their case. These are the kind of people you deal with and they are sneaky bastards, but also a senior judge has seen it all before and knows the games they play. I believe if you have got something to say, you are better off saying it at the time. Generally speaking judges like you if you are the kind of guy who does not sit on a problem but attempts to solve it, hence brownie points are awarded in your case.

When these places tell you 'we may record calls for training purposes' they only say that to work in their favour.
However when things go wrong and YOU ask for a transcript of the conversation it all becomes hazy, I had a dispute with my business banking, and asked for a transcript of the conversation, because I knew I was in the right they sent a 700 page dossier of every call and transaction that had ever been made, I had to wade through it to get to the bit they didn't want me to get to .... needless to say .... I WON.

Having made a mistake, which would not have happened, had they replied correctly to my letter, I scrapped through.

We have a new recording today which proves Vennells was told about everything the moment her head brief knew about it, including all the dodgy stuff. That bitch is going to get fried.
