Story in todays Telegraph about the appalling number of kids who leave school and go straight onto welfare - this in a country desperate for workers. But one item stood out - some parents want their kids to remain on welfare for the benefit payments.. it's not surprising with welfare that generous we have 6 million on out of work benefits in this country. "Some parents actively discourage their children from getting a job, she says. “We have parents who are receiving benefits who don’t want their kids to work.”
This is a particular problem when children are on educational healthcare plans, which means their parents receive money to support their special educational needs.
“You wouldn’t believe the amount of money that’s coming into some households because of the educational healthcare plans,” says Sturdy.
She knows of one family where at least three of the children were on plans, meaning the household received more than £90,000 per year in benefits."
How on earth can one family be claiming £90,000 in benefits? That's £7,500 a month in benefits, and this is for just one family! Buggered if I understand how it's possible. And people wonder why hundreds of thousands of illegals are fleeing the EU for this country.

In my first 2 post I've already proven it a Torygraph load of Cobswollip Benefits affected by the cap The benefit cap is a limit on the total amount of benefit you can get. It applies to most people aged 16 or over who have not reached State Pension age. This guide is also available in Welsh (Cymraeg). The benefit cap affects: Universal Credit Bereavement Allowance Child Benefit Child Tax Credit Employment and Support Allowance Housing Benefit Incapacity Benefit Income Support Jobseeker’s Allowance Maternity Allowance Severe Disablement Allowance Widowed Parent’s Allowance (or Widowed Mother’s Allowance or Widow’s Pension if you started getting it before 9 April 2001) You might not be affected by the benefit cap if you get certain benefits or you’re over State Pension age.

Very difficult to know what is happening.
Obviously having a disabled child is a factor you can't plan for.
I suspect Labour areas likely to be more susceptible to needing or offering more support.
Childcare seems an issue and is one reason why working class whites often just have one child and rely just on husbands salary for a while and then grandparents rather than expensive childcare. Grandparents often willing to look after one yet not two so can one work from home?
COV-ID has made this worse either through the virus, vaccine or knock-on effects from not socialising.
Corporates very fussy about demographics they employ and then word of mouth from local chaps struggling to stay afloat. Not easy.
My daughter works on farms driving livestock for export and plays sport not ambitious yet lives rent free with a family member. She got a diploma in environmental studies which helped get on the farms.
Her step sister fell out with parents and went to the capital stayed with friends and has a retail job for well known franchise. Flat share. Her younger step brother recently got a degree in marine science... next steps TBC.
My niece is looking at Uni, wants to do politics and media studies, has worked part time in charity shops. I asked her to think about attributes of jobs, does she see herself analysing data, managing others, selling stuff, working with her hands or body etc. She said she had not and that was a great point yet feels good about her job prospects also good foreign language skills.

The benefit cap is a limit on the total amount of income from certain benefits a household can receive. It is set at a different level depending on whether you live inside or outside London. From April 2023 the benefit cap is: £486.98 a week if you are a couple or have children and live in London.
Of course if you live outside London it be a different level.

Yes - and you are still wrong. Just read the frigging story. Read it Several times how can I be wrong when there statement from the official Govenment on such Matters. Well you obviously do not understand what is written - you claim the idea that someone can get £90,000 in welfare for 3 kids is impossible and then link to the scheme that pays out that welfare..... Admit your error and move on.
