You might as well have bought a cheap moped. Afaik it’s still illegal to take out any petrol driven vehicle without insurance and licence . I only had what I earnt on a paper round. We had to scrounge and scavenge the rest. The local dump was a full of stuff you could get working with a bit of the old tinkering. After that I built a mk 2 which I managed to make in school break times by asking the metalwork teacher kindly. He was on my side! Yes that would be a lot more interesting than just buying an old moped. |
