Khan allowing antisemitism to flourish has the expected result... Oh heck. There's going to be a backlash from that. If I were a Jew living in Britain I'd be off to Israel to live. Much safer there. War or no war. Khan appears to have misdirected the police in relation to the marches. This has emboldened the extremists. Indeed - Khan has made London on the verge of being an unsafe city for Jews.. perhaps it was his plan all along. |

When you say "the country" you mean our esteemed representatives in government. And you are right, they have no appetite for a potential civil war. I'm not keen myself, in fact, I'd rather export the problem from whence it came. Banning Islamists groups clearly is not cutting it when some in the Met stand by watching with Palestinian stickers on their arm. |

I'm going to London in about 3w time. My preferred method is to use the underground from Uxbridge which takes you into central London in about 1/2hr. It's a lot less pissing about on the tube now you can just swipe an ordinary bank card. Trains leave every 15m so it is hassle free. The problem now is you are sitting in a carriage and 75% + people are foreign. It spooks me out. Prices for everything are sky high in London as well. Anyway, I enjoyed it last time. Hampstead is a really mellow and civilised area and you do get more Bits there, so it's just the Indian subcontinent in between.
