Most of the content had been leaked already — in bygone times almost a capital offence. Now the Commons just erupts in schoolyard yah boo sucks. Doesn’t the U.K. deserve better…?

Budgets have never changed with one hand they make out they are giving you something, with the other they take twice as much away. Midterm they are even harsher.

It was one where they targetted NI because they couldn't afford the Income Tax cut that Rishi had promised, therefore it doesn't really help the blue rinse vote that they wanted.
Kind of sums up this government really.

I would have thought the pensioner haters would be excited by a budget that does little for pensioners.

For decades i have noted prior to the budget a number of high profile leaks of contentious bullshit, designed in my opinion to gauge the degree of mob violence such change would bring, followed by implementation of something a qyarter to half as bad.

May as well have not bothered . Can't see that anyone got dealt a better hand than they already had . Any small gains made will get eaten by inflation ,council tax ,energy bills ect . The cons needed an all guns blazing ,all singing and dancing with bells on budget , what we got was a white flag .
