If Putin pushes that Nuclear Button the last we will have to worry about is buying arms from anywhere, London and all the major cities in Europe will be gone, and he will hit America first They might hit a city first as a warning and then everyone in the West and Israel. Moscow would also be destroyed. Mutually assured destruction. |

All members of the EU and the UK belong to NATO.
The purchase and use of weapons is conducted according to NATO administration, not the EU.
Defense is a SOVEREIGN NATIONAL issue. Remember the British uproar when there was a discussuon about an EU army?

Back in the 1990's we designed the finest tank ever made.
The Challenger 2.
Only one Challenger 2 has ever been taken out by another tank, and that was friendly fire, from another Challenger 2.
The armour is the finest in the world.
The 120mm rifled cannon offers both armour piercing sabot rounds and squashhead rounds.
Labour let the business collapse whilst abroad evidence of growing threats was building.
It also sold our Challenger 1's to Jordan and those would have been helpful as well at this time.
With modernised Perkins engines they would have been great to have in reserve.
We should buy them back.
And we should buy back the Chieftains we sold too.
Upgrade those with Perkins diesel engines as well and give those to Ukraine on a lend lease basis there's hundreds.
Build factories now, produce large quantities of ammunition for our tanks and for artillery.
