PS The 47-year-old was carrying a knuckle duster and “a bottle containing a substance” when he was detained at 11pm on Sunday in Shoreditch, the Metropolitan Police said. Officers searched his home and found a crossbow, knives and other weapons which have been sent for forensic examination. If he's IC3 or 4, it will be because he's disadvantaged and the lack of a youth club left him traumatised and suffering from PTSD all of which will be taken into consideration. If he's IC1 the guilty bastard will be sent down for 20 years and quietly released after 6 or 7 years because of overcrowding. They have no choice but to release him at this stage no matter what ethnicity or colour, the moment a suspect is arrested the 24 hour clock starts ticking which means the Police have to charge or release a suspect when the 24 hours elapses. They can hold them for an extra few hours if a Senior Officer authorises it, or put the suspect before a Court and ask the Court to authorise the Police to hold them longer. What will be happening now is the Police will be gathering as much evidence as they can, then call him back for further interview under caution and if the CPS agrees there is sufficient evidence to charge him that will happen

Armed police shoot crossbow attacker in High Wycombe after one officer is shot in the leg and a man in his sixties was stabbed in quiet neighbourhood..... Armed police have shot a crossbow attacker in High Wycombe after an officer was shot in the leg and a man in his sixties was stabbed in a quiet neighbourhood. Units descended on the village of Downley yesterday at around 6pm following reports of a 54-year-old man armed wielding a crossbow. When armed police arrived, the man in question shot a police officer with the weapon. He was then shot and arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and has been taken to hospital under police supervision with potentially life-changing injuries. A man in his sixties suffered a stab wound and was taken to hospital but has since been discharged. www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-13406029/Police-shoot-crossbow-wielding-suspect-shot-officer-High-Wycombe.html
