If Labour MP's are being threatened by their constituents they should report it to the Police and be allowed a free vote if they dont feel able to vote in line with the Party whip. The internal issues of the Labour Party are no excuse for breaking the long standing conventions of Parliament. Of course Conservative MPS are know under protection of the police so they Knew of the treat 3 optionso 1 they didn't Know about it and the threat level has increased because of the vote. That's why Stanmer left it so late. 2 they Knew about it but didn't report it to the police 3 I think is the most likely they knew about it but decided to agree with SNP Because there Amendedment was nothing but To Spilt the labour party . So willingly put there own MP'S at risk Ever way it shows Starmer was right in what he did |

No. If the Labour amendment received enough votes, the SNP motion would NOT be voted on. They walked out because it was their day, and their motion would not be voted on. If Starmer had the integrity and leadership qualities he claims to have, then he would have voted against the SNP motion and explained why! Instead the spineless hypocrite whispered into the ears of Sir Lindsey, because he was facing a triple digit rebellion from his own MPs! There was two motion put forward what the Cry babies didn't like was that the laBour motion was put first to be voted On. So you think there was no threat to labourer party or any other MPS. What as been proven there is. Sir Lindsey apologised and said we was wrong to allow the Labour motion. The SNP were so mad because the whole purpose of the motion was to put pressure on Starmer's leadership and stop them winning votes in Scotland. Instead the speaker allowed Labour to play politics, and avoid a heavy rebellion against Starmer. If the situation was so dangerous then Labour should have refused to attend... it wasn't though... they just used it as an excuse to avoid a rebellion. A Tory MP was killed by a Islamic extremist, and one has just had his office firebombed yet I don't see them to bowing down to the mob! |
