For those of the nasty Nationalist Right, who are bitterly disappointed NOT to have seen a divided Labour Party, this is what one of your hero's has said.
"Former Commons Leader Sir Jacob Rees-Mogg tells me that unlike many Tory MPs he supports Sir Lindsay Hoyle’s ruling selecting Labour & govt amendments. Says Speaker is reflecting “the will of the House”. Says John Bercow would have made same ruling reflecting will of the House"

Poor old Starmer, he's a walking disaster, every job he takes he fails miserably at, November GE must seem a lifetime away for him. More lies from the political Righties postings, and to think that you might never mature enough to leave your silliness behind you LOL

It's just Cupid Stunt hour Thomas... Its yet another example of the labour parties constant problem time and again , trying to look both ways at the same time and failing. Its obviously annoying all the right people. Get yourself a job in the Scottish parliament, they speak the same garbage as you do, its no wonder you tie yourself up in nots just as the SNP do LOL. Both fixated on nonsense.

in your opinion. do you understand though , the politics at play ? Starmer as usual is caught between courting the left wing vote , and the muslim vote , all of whom support the Palestinians , while trying to arselick with Israel and in absolute terror of being labelled anti semitic by the media because of previous little mishaps in your despicable party. The snp have no such worries. This is turning out to be fun. You are the fun, spending loads of your time insulting Labour with your ale house political approach LOL, you don't even see the shit pouring out from the lying anti Semitic SNP. Maybe given, given 60 years or so the Scottish parliament just might mature enough to begin to be taken seriously. why am I the fun see 2? im not a politician , and im not the one in a bad place looking extremely detestable the way keir starmer is. He might slither his way out of this , by his blackmail of the speaker , but hopefully it's going to cost him in the long term. People simply have like or respect for starmer. you are obviously rattled , and flying off at a tangent. this isnt the Scottish parliament , but the uk one. Im loving every minute of starmers difficulty .

I have already matured and stick this one up yourself, you may never get anywhere near my maturity LOL Although right now I'm enjoying wasting a little time giving the likes of yourself a taste of your own medicine LOL

So labour have spent weeks tying themselves in knots over this , and decided to strong arm the speaker into saving them face. Hope there is massive repercussions .Couldnt happen to a nicer party.

I'm with Dappy on this one. This could have been worked by the four main parties as a worded statement that they could have all agreed on. The SNP have instead gone for their own version to try to play political games by dividing Labour. None of this is good for parliament, Israel or Palestine. Pox on all their houses.

Meanwhile , we are all enjoying starmers complete discomfort. If this is how bad he looks pre election for what is nothing more than a symbolic vote as others have pointed out , imagine how bad things are going to get if he is allowed the reigns of power and has to grapple with real problems? Im loving every minute of it.

Why should the parties all play ball to get Starmer off the Hook?
Starmer/Labour wont play ball with anyone if it doesn't score them political points, they defy the illegal migrant crisis, they defied any opportunity to join forces and fight against Covid, all they were interested in was climbing the political ladder and playing political football with people's lives, so now it suits them they want to hold hands and join in harmony ....... Fuck them.

Even mere laymen on an obscure political forum could see the political opportunity to take advantage of starmers clear divisions in his party on this issue. You say none of this is good for parliament , but its labour who have brought parliaments name through the mud by blackmailing Hoyle. disagree with you. I hope this brings those thinking of voting for this disgusting Labour Party to its senses.

You just know they will squirm their way out of it .But what I don't get is why didn't Labour just support the SNP amendment ? It was basically the same as what they were saying and we all know it will fall on deaf ears on the people who will decide on a ceasefire anyway . Why create a problem for themselves when they didn't need to ?

Andrew , the Labour Party are allocated 17 days per parliamentary session for opposition day motions while the snp are given a mere three. To accuse the snp ( or others for that matter) for playing political games on this is nonsense. Labour had plenty opportunity to take the. lead on this , and should have , had they a competent leader , but instead, he has gotten them into an avoidable mess and blackmailed the speaker to save face. Starmer could have looked like a leader with integrity , acting on evidence and supporting international law , but because he is too chickenshit scared of being labelled anti semite ( which he and his fellow blairite travellers helped throw at Corbyn lets remind ourselves) shows the lack of moral fibre and backbone in the man. Starmer isnt a prime minister in waiting , just as sunak isnt a prime minister. Jeez , and I thought Theresa may and Corbyn were bad.

Every time a goal opens in front of that man , and ive said this since 2019 , if not before , he seems to freeze , make the wrong decision , and fluff the ball over the net into the stands. We can see now why for ages he has largely sat on his hands saying and doing very little. The smallest bit of pressure and labour go all to pieces. There are many conspiracy theories why starmer seems to be so pro Israel , against the bulk of his party and support , including pro Israeli groups funding labour , but if this is how easily he gets himself into mess on a mere symbolic vote , then imagine how bad him running the uk is going to get. .
