Truss is being proved right with every passing day . "Britain will suffer a recession due to Sunaks increase in taxes , it is cutting back on growth it is preventing companies from investing and it is taking money out of peoples pockets "
" Cutting taxes is the right thing to do both morally and economically, it will boost growth and help avoid the looming recession"
Eat out to help out Rishi is now worrying the markets more than Truss ever did

Do you know what in work poverty is? Yep..Do you know what benefits are? Errm, yeah, but how many in work are on benefits still? Your argument, unless I'm misunderstanding, was that poor people are lazy, but my point is that actually a lot of poor people are working full time. The problem is not that people are lazy (actually the one thing I would credit the Tories with is low unemployment), but the fact that people's wages are not enough to live on. Hence the cost of living crisis.

Lefty old bean?
How could anyone who supposedly requires 24 hour care be able to split arse off to Florida?
Disabled man who gets £11,000 a month to fund round-the-clock care is forced to pay back the £50,000 he had saved after council found out he was planning a holiday to Florida....

Talk about About cheating the tax payer how about this A hole. A rogue businessman appears to have cheated a council in Essex out of as much as £130m and spent the money on a life of luxury in potentially the largest fraud ever committed against a UK local authority. Liam Kavanagh and his companies convinced Thurrock council to hand over the equivalent of almost its entire annual budget while inflating the value of a group of solar farms it had invested in, The Bureau of Investigative Journalism has found. Never-before-seen financial records show the money was then spent on a country estate, private jet, luxury yacht and many other multimillion-pound purchases for Kavanagh, 46. He decked out one of his properties in gaudy crystals, drove a £2.3m Bugatti supercar and bought a million-dollar diamond-encrusted Hublot watch. The watch alone cost twice as much as the average house in Grays, the Essex town where Thurrock council is based.

All the musical chairs at Tory HQ had nothing to do with who's policies were right or the best bet or how many cakes they ate but who would be the easiest to control . The answer was Sunak

I cant believe that no one has allready created a thread on this, obviously far too many apologists for this bloody government. Recessions are not common, the last official recession we had was 2008 / 2009 and caused by the world banking crisis and "Credit Crunch". But this one is caused by Rishi and his government, surely this tears to shreds a flagship promise, Rishi's pledge to "grow the economy"., just like all his other pledges. Living standards have never fallen back so far since records began in 1955, and its not just the recession that we are now in, its the fact that growth has been painfully poor throughout the entire period the Conservatives have been in power since 2010. We lost our Triple A credit rating under the Conservatives, and we have teetered on the edge of recession no less than FIVE TIMES. No one in the mainstream political commentary has the foggiest how the system works and what caused both crashes. 2008 and 2019 onwards were primarily caused by the Americans. Not only did Rishi and Bailey take their orders but so did the countries of Europe. I can tell you right now if Starmer will also do as they say. One person who didn't was Saddam and another was Gaddafi.

Recessions are caused by many factors such as a global pandemic, high fuel prices, net zero, and war, all four of which have destabilised the economy and have happened since 2020. I concede, the government could have eased pressure on the economy by binning net zero policies.

Talk about About cheating the tax payer how about this A hole. A Labour MP is under fire after taxpayers were left with a £130,000 bill for a new brick wall around his back garden. Opponents claim Andrew Gwynne has been given the "red carpet" treatment while other residents were left with only fencing during a bridge upgrade project. The hefty price tag put on the work by National Highways was uncovered using freedom of information laws.

The Conservative philosophy is to give people autonomy over their lives, which means handing them back the power to decide what is good and what is bad. For example this fucked country has decided to ban all electric scooters unless they are owned by the communist state. Whatever happened to the idea of private property? Those bastards resembling the female anatomy and rhyme with the chancellor's name have become another Labour Party.
