Starmer wants this banned for 16 year olds, and yet they want 16 years old to have the vote. Make up your mind is 16 a child or not?......Who else feels so safe knowing our elites are forever looking out for our health & well being - unless you are starving, freezing homeless & unable to travel freely of course.
Children under 16 could be BANNED from buying energy drinks under Labour government amid growing evidence of health risks...
The proposal has reportedly been submitted for the party's election manifesto, amid concern from medical professionals about the caffeine-fuelled beverages.
For the plan to become official party policy, Sir Keir Starmer's office would need to approve it.

Recent studies have shown that children who consume energy are more likely to be overweight and develop heart problems.

So he doesn't want it banned for 16 year old, only for under 16.
Witg the amount of sugar they contain, they should come with a dental plan...

I was thinking that the Westminster party has taken over all parenting.

I was thinking that the Westminster party has taken over all parenting. There does seem to be a mindset these days where people expect the State to bring up their offspring - Labours recent idea about supervised toothbrushing being a prime example. Is the view now that the only thing a parent does is pump the brat out and everything is up to someone else?

I was thinking that the Westminster party has taken over all parenting. If the parents aren't going to do their job properly, someone's got to. We don't allow kids to buy cigarettes and alcohol - I can't see the restriction on something as harmful to young bodies and minds as a potent swill of caffeine and sugar to be much different.

Well that's a big vote winner, quick let's all vote Labour so they can stop kids from buying energy drinks, .... the man is a clown.

You're obviously a sensible Tory. Under a Labour administration the government will control everything.

Is that a self help dental plan or will a dentist be provided ? Typical labour though ,if you're enjoying yourself , thinking for yourself or improving yourself they will ban it

The Tories have just effectively copied Labour’s tooth rushing idea in their new plan for dentistry which happens to have come out in an election year. They are branding it “Smiles for life”

I'm not really in favour of government banning things. (Although I did appreciate the smoking ban.) Rather have an additional tax on them to make them expensive and then put the revenue into NHS Dentistry. As a diabetic I'm not going to touch those things.

There are plenty of sugar free energy drinks . I suspect it’s the caffeine not the sugar .

You're obviously a sensible Tory. Under a Labour administration the government will control everything. Basically that's what it boils down to, Labour are control freaks, the only ones who are allowed freedom of speech are the lefties, they want everything and any one cancelled that isn't a lefty agenda, they even want to control what speed we can do 20 mph, just like they tried to close bank accounts because of your politics.
