Exports to the EU are worth more (inflation adjusted) than they were in 2015. What was an absolute failure was membership of the EU and the EEC before it. It resulted in a complete breakdown of trust. Sovereignty we were told would be retained, it wasn't, we were told we had influence, we didn't. We were told it would be good for industry, our industries declined. We were told it would be good for jobs, but instead unemployment soared. Blair told us in 1997 that he'd match the referendum party, and didn't. Brown signed the Lisbon Treaty without our consent. Cameron told us he'd reform the EU and didn't. Membership was a complete and total waste of time. It was a failure. We'd have been better off staying in EFTA which did an FTA with the EU anyway. |

NATO war on Russia over Ukraine has damaged the economy with high interest rates and power bills as we are all tied to the USD and Russian fossil fuels.
