The subject isn't always important to employers. It's the fact that you've achieved a certain level of education and have a developed capacity for critical thinking. The only person I know who works in The City has a degree in geography. You will agree that some degrees are easier to earn than others ? Also can we seriously claim that a degree is more a sign of intelligence than a electrical engineering apprenticeship with advanced C&G exam pass? Some os the degrees they offer now are total crap. And I agree C&G are far harder to obtain.

So, in summary: We have an obvious troll thread whereby the OP sets out to insult others and then assumes victimhood when his own, painfully obvious, shortcomings are pointed out. And the usual double standards, I believe that "Dicks" is now the mod approved term, support him. Anyways, what do facts matter? As you were...

These twats who take these stupid degrees are mostly employed as shelf stackers after they have lumbered themselves wih a mountain of debt.. Some are also employed as brickies.

Sid said there was only so much stupid he could take in a day... Then he should have stopped posting it. Let's face it: Sid was a typical thick lefty, trolling the board with factually incorrect nonsense and then getting the arse when the flaws in his arguments were pointed out. What a dick!

I liked sid , but I must admit he was a bit guilty of not thinking outside the box and engaging in Labour Party groupthink. Anyway , it's a shame . The lifeblood of any forum is its diverse membership , at least we could have an argument with Sid , instead of the insane ramblings of one or two others that at best cannot even be engaged with on any level. I want to see the brothers and sisters spending each day on this forum after the election defending the disaster that is going to be the starmer government .

The motorist may as well get rid of their cars, they will be priced off the road, car parking fees/fines, ULEZ zones, 20 mph zones, petrol/diesel taxes, the motorist is going to fill the coffers of every disastrous bankrupt Labour run council.

Two bob degrees don't signify intelligence . Ive always said that Blair changed the school leaving age to 18 so his army of lefty teachers had more time to influence the way students think politically . Universities then finish them off ,attending one even for the most useless of degrees keeps them in the loop Its telling that those that break away from the indoctrination and enter the workforce earlier have a different view . ok that’s one way of looking at it As a victim of ROSLA i have another At the age of 14 in my third year in secondary school i witnessed the huge exodus at easter of the academically hopeless to jobs mainly trades and apprenticeships. By my 21st birthday the vast majority of those 22 year olds were in good jobs bringing good money. All drove cars apart from those who drove vans for their trade, apart from one. At a school reunion Jimmy Davies who left with a report saying he had achieved nothing of worth and would amount to nothing parked his five series BMW 525 Alpina in the headmaster's parking space. Jimmy’s dad ran a butcher’s stall in the local market. In the seven years since i last saw him, he had helped his father expand to a chain of i think it was seven ir eight such establishments across south wales…. But back to my year. In my fourth year ROSLA condemned our year to suffer the disruption of over a hundred kids who were now denied the right to go and earn money, being forced instead to stay in school firca further year for no good purpose whatsoever. All it achieved was a reduction in the unemployment statistics. Blair’s ‘edukashun edukashun edukashun’ mantra, combined with gordon brown’s deliberate destruction of funding forcing universities to deny places to british students because foreigners paid more and brought overseas government funds to pay it, and to charge tuition fees to brits, was again nothing more than a sham designed to remove 18 year olds from dole queues for no good reason. Not only did it remove 18 year old's from the dole queues it removed 18 year olds from the jobs market . Which was good reason as far as Blair was concerned because it gave employment to those who were to come here in great numbers under freedom of movement

The tories are not of the right . A real right wing government would frighten the feckers into behaving themselves so you would have a smaller prison population
