I've always said them that vote Conservative are a stupid uneducated lot. And stats prove it
While age is obviously a huge dividing lineEducation is still a key dividing line The highest level of education someone has achieved remains an important dividing line in how people vote. Labour did much better than the Conservatives amongst those who have a degree or higher, by 43% to 29%.
The Liberal Democrats also performed very well amongst this group with 17% of the vote share. We saw in 2016 that those with a higher education level were overwhelmingly more likely to back remaining in the EU, and this has seemingly transferred into party voting.
The Conservatives won amongst the much larger group of voters who do not hold a degree, however. They outperformed Labour by more than two to one (58% to 25%) amongst those whose highest level of education is GCSE or lower. in terms of political preferences, education also played an important role. It was revealed that those with a University degree are more likely to vote labour, where those with GCSE or below-level education are more like to vote Conservative.

Statistics that just underline the folly of the Tories in seemingly doing all they can to alienate the Red Wall voters who had at long last realised that the modern Labour Party is no friend of theirs. But for whatever reason the Tories have decided to pander to the Wokerati and have as much contempt for the British working class as Emily Thornberry ..... or as the Post Office has for a rural sub-postmaster.
It should be curtains for Rishi as the working class say 'Fujitsu to the lot of them !' and stay at home on polling day, or pray they might still find salvation in the shape of Reform UK. It does rather look as if we'll just have to hope that all those big brained Labour voters know what they're doing as they cast their votes to make David Lammy our Foreign Secretary. There'll be dancing in the streets of Khan's London as the Brains Trust celebrate their chance to go about making the whole of the UK resemble Tower Hamlets ....... I only wish I could say I had more faith in the judgement of the 'smart' people.

Two bob degrees don't signify intelligence . Ive always said that Blair changed the school leaving age to 18 so his army of lefty teachers had more time to influence the way students think politically . Universities then finish them off ,attending one even for the most useless of degrees keeps them in the loop Its telling that those that break away from the indoctrination and enter the workforce earlier have a different view .

You are setting the benchmark of β educationβ by degrees . Even you must know that before the 21st century degrees were a lot rarer and before say 1980s degrees were very rare . So who is more educated β¦a person with a degree in humanities or an electrician , an engineer , a cabinet maker ?

Indeed. It takes a special kind of ignorance to make degrees a benchmark for education .

I've never observed a direct link between a degree and intelligence. An old ex-girlfriend of mine had a degree in dentistry but it didn't stop her phoning me up to ask if she needed to bring her passport for our trip to Scotland. Nor does a lack of a higher education mean that someone is stupid. One of the smartest people I know left school at 16 to become a farmer.

When it comes to political allegiance age is far more of a factor than education. School kids & students who show any interest in politics are likely to be left wing. By the time they're in their early 40's and now more experienced, their political affiliations will likely have moved to the right. This is why lefties... Labour, LibDems, SNP and Welsh Nats, want ballot boxes in schools. Get em when they're inexperienced, naive and above all young, it's the left wing ethos. And I'll tell you something else Charlie, this is hardly a secret.
