Why lie about it? What's the point? The point is you were willing to tell lies just to take away any benefit people might have felt from a political decision you didn't agree with. And instead of people thinking OMG I didn't get the black passport I wanted, Brexit didn't deliver. They think oh look, here is a sour and petty guy willing to lie to my face. I can't believe a single bitter word he says.

So, let's ignore the point of the story about the Christmas Market being cancelled because it's too much pfaff to sort the visas and not worth the effort, let's concentrate on the passport colour...
That is pretty much my point made for me. Ta!

That's right, everything from the crucifixion to covid is because of Brexit, right kids...

I'm far more interested in why you feel the need to lie about Brexit than I am in a German Christmas market in Leeds.
Sorry.
One cuts to the quick of our national political debate and one does not.

That's right, everything from the crucifixion to covid is because of Brexit, right kids... Did Andrew say that? No. So why do you feel the compelling need to falsely suggest he did. To obscure that this market really has been cancelled because of Brexit perchance? Now IMHO it's less than a national disaster, we have a local supposedly French market which this year turned out to be somewhat not French at all but the sun still rose the next day.

in the 50's and early 60's my parents often shopped in Leeds with my sister and I in tow, they stopped going as Leeds was no longer a place they wanted to shop in, Skipton and Burnley even Manchester felt far more comfortable, wife and I were in Leeds just as Covid was arriving as my mother was in Hospital in Leeds, we could not wait to get out and get back to London. Last Thursday wife and I flew out of the UK to attend a family wedding, I was very happy clutching me new blue British Passport after waiting patiently for years to have once again

I'm not sure what you think I've lied about? (Actually I'm not even clear if you meant me personally or everyone who sees through Brexit.)

I'm not sure what you think I've lied about? (Actually I'm not even clear if you meant me personally or everyone who sees through Brexit.) The colour of the passport. You just called a black passport blue. And the reason you did so is that you don't want people to be happy about Brexit. It's just that simple. The truth doesn't matter to you as much as making people unhappy about Brexit. Ner, ner ner ner, ner. You wanted a black passport but we've made you have a blue one just to piss you off. We win! This whole blue passport thing shows you the nature of those people coming out with it. It's not like I can't see my passport is black just by looking at it. It's just about the dumbest lie out there and yet people keep coming out with it. Petty minded people who just want to punish us for taking a political decision they don't agree with. How can I believe you on anything related to Brexit at all when you are willing to lie to my face over something so petty and so obviously and patently untrue? I simply have to assume based on your behaviour alone that every word you say is just an attempt at petty point scoring and the truth of the matter is in no way important to you.

Oh god. Another liar. Look at the picture. Anyone who calls black "blue" is a liar. Don't think for a minute that we don't all know why you lie about this. Everybody does. And I don't really care how you justify your lies or how many other liars you can point to. I just recognise you for what you are and take it onboard to help me judge the veracity of anything else you say. This has been the standard of a great many peoples debate over this issue for a very long time now. Piss poor and blatantly dishonest. Unignorably dishonest. There is no grey area here.

You do owe me an apology. You said I lied. I didn't. Please retract that.

Just stop doing it is my advice.
It's clearly not getting you where you want it to.
Don't get me wrong, I like you. I like to hear what you have to say. But this is a subject no one can trust you to be truthful on and you have no one else to blame for that but yourself.

Which bit of 'blue' are you struggling with from your darling Leave government's announcement: ' Britons will be able to travel with a blue passport when the traditional colour returns for the first time in almost 30 years. The distinctive blue cover will be re-introduced now the UK has left the EU, and will replace burgundy passports which were gradually rolled out from 1988.'www.gov.uk/government/news/iconic-blue-passports-return-next-monthYou're not alone in mistaking it to be black but it's actually very dark Navy Blue see mybritishpassport.com/uk-blue-passportAnd now you owe Andrew and me apologies for falsely calling us liars
