Of course he's completely correct. The magnetic attraction of the UK's 'pull factors' for third-world migrants is very well known and it's undeniable that they exist because of policy decisions made by successive governments.
PS the government announced today increases in asylum support payments for pregnant women and children. It all sounds like a collaborative effort between the EUphile British establishment, that wants to punish the people, and the EU, which has the same agenda.

It makes you wonder why the EU hasn't insisted that other members follow Britain's example in having extremely laisser-faire labour market regulation, an accommodating and welcoming bureaucracy, social housing and free healthcare for all immigrants, a non-contributory benefits system, a non-interventionist police force, an extensive taxpayer-subsidised migrant rights industry, the most generous legal aid scheme in Europe, draconian race relations and anti-discrimination legislation, an Equality Act and, last but not least, a Human Rights Act that effectively prohibits deportation of foreigners.
I may have missed a couple.
