I wouldn’t give him the time of day,and he didn’t know that they were acting for the post office then he shouldn’t take outside work, apart from that I don’t believe him. Grade A piece of work.

This couldn't have come at a better time for the LibDums lol. The only question is now, how long has Davey got?

Yes indeed, I heard this on the news. I suppose it was only a matter of time.

I hope Vennells doesn’t get thrown under the bus and the rest get off with it . Yes she is culpable but she’s not alone, slur Ed Davey and others too need removing from office, honours removed pensions financial penalties too and for the very worst jail time as some of these postmasters suffered. This highlights the flaws in the British justice system that the little people are crushed by those able to spend limitlessly to closedown those without the resources they have who are seeking redress and those paying the massive legal bills are not as in this case the post office but you and me out of our taxes. This shouldn’t end here there should be legislation put in place to protect everyday people,I have seen local authorities crush individuals with some officials openly boasting we have the capability to spend legally have you?

Davey is not doing himself any favours by refusing to apologise - I don't think the tactic of blaming everyone else is going wash long term.

What an absolute tosser
And this He did nothing so what purpose does he serve apart from self serving?Resign as Lib Dem leader as an mp hand back the knighthood and sod off in to obscurity might go some way righting what he did wrong.

I see the LibDems are now in fourth place behind Reform UK. I think Richard Tice should do the decent thing and thank Sir Ed, of the Post Office, Davey.

You could well believe this if you use GB News and the far right tabloids as your source of news. In fact while an occasional poll has Reform ahead of the Lib Dems, and those are assiduously reported by the aforementioned, the majority have it the other way round. For some reason GB News and the Express etc forget to report those....
Electoral Calculus usually give the best independent view of the current state of play of the parties and how that would translate into seats, although they haven't updated due to lack of data since 23/12. They have the Libs on an average of 11% translating to 30 seats (far less than the 70 odd 11% should fairly give them) and reform on 9% translating to 0 seats (a democratic outrage). Obviously much time still for that to change. Britain Elects has four polls in January with Lib Dems averaging 11% and Reform 10% so broadly in line with above.

Right so Ed has just been on tv with his party political broadcast talking of the strength and decency of the British people and how they respect the British people and listen to their concerns.
It s a pity he can’t summon the strength and do the decent thing by resigning as leader and returning his knighthood because as post office minister he failed to listen to those postmasters/ mistresses and totally ignored their concerns.
