If any of the Post Office top honchos and investigators are interviewed under caution or even arrested for Perverting the Course of Justice or Perjury, they will get what appears that none of the Sub-Post Office, Mangers and Mistresses did, their full legal rights and legal Council present when questioned.

Looks like Ed Davey being scapegoated to take the heat off other politicians responsible for Post Office activities in Conservative, Labour and LibDem parrties.
The first prosecutions of subpostmasters began in 1999.
Between then and 2015 more than 900 subpostmasters were convicted of false accounting, fraud and theft. Administrations during that time have been Labour, Conservative-LibDem, and Conservative — all being fed info by Post Office management, which appears the most culpable...

Finally he has apologised.... way too late but I suppose better than nothing. Waffling tosser, the least he can say (and it’s not sorry) is I resign as leader of Lib Dem’s as an mp and will return my knighthood. Meanwhile Mr Bates has been offered a derisory one sixth of the required compensation so why isn’t he nagging the powers that be over this and the others whilst the enquiry drags on and they hope a few more will die and people will forget and get bored with the affair so they can return to their comfy life. |
