This is the problem they don't fucking work and are being rejected by the masses. If they were anygood they would sell under their own merits and not have to be forced onto an unwilling public. The public seem unwilling because they don't believe the economics and the maths don't simply work out jonsky. Look at the leader of the snp coalition partners , Patrick Harvey of the greens. He told the Scottish public with a serious look on his face in the summer , that Scotland would remove one million gas boilers by 2030 , and that the £33 billion cost of doing so would be met by `the private sector` that's us homeowners and tenants. These announcements strain public credulity on net zero , and in general I would argue people have had enough of sanctimonious lecturing from these clowns. Even Blair has pointed out that green propaganda is in fact antagonising the very people it seeks to persuade. Trouble is Thomas, that we knew about his problem back in 1980 but we sat on our hands for 30 years and now it all needs to happen in a rush. Have you considered the costs of not tackling climate change?

I only pointed out that personal attacks aren't allowed on Mind Zone, and all you've done is continue to post personal attacks, Zanygame. Oh no, you're a victim again. Accept the mind zone lost its protection a while back when the trolls learnt how to play it. But do tell us your view on heat pumps. I don't believe you've mentioned them as yet. And you are supposed to stay on topic.

Pacifico touched on it in another thread, but I'm guessing the fanatical propagandists, in general, aren't interested in such a thing. I think they just want panic and fear, because humans generally act irrationally in such a state. This is something we should be concerned about. It just isn't Zen.

You saying FFS and calling people bumburghers doesn't change that.

So 40,000 a year installed - compared with 1.8 million boilers.. Massive subsidies for heat-pumps compared with surcharges placed on boilers - this rush for renewables and Net Zero is going to cripple us. 650,000 installed in France. They must be bankrupt. Oh wait they're doing better than us. Better than us for what?. With regards to France yes heat pumps are popular because their electricity is massively subsidised and thus heat pumps make more economic sense. Comparing us with different markets with very different economic conditions is not very useful when it comes to explaining why the technology is not suitable for a significant proportion of the UK housing stock.

Zany conveniently forgets to mention the fact that 90 percent of French nuke stations are unfit for purpose and are no longer used.

Have you considered the costs involved We cannot do anything about it as both China and India are determined to expand their carbon emissions. We have set the example and they have told us to take a hike so the costs will occur irrespective of what we do. So best to be prepared for what will happen if it is true that CO2 will lead to run away global warming. So far the evidence that the models and the predictions will come true is pretty thin on the ground. Best we stop our sackcloth and ashes approach and concentrate on the welfare of the British people.
