It becomes a serious matter if someone is making a joke to your face about a situation in which a loved one has been raped. Which was my point. But he wasn't though, was he? If your daughter had been date raped and some twat came along and joked about it, I think most of us would understand if you had lamped him one, lol Extrapolated whataboutery. Why then you don't just leave us so called "outraged lefties" to just have a moan about it amongst ourselves is the mystery that betrays the fakeness of your indifference. It is what it suggests about the character of the person telling it. And it suggests that Cleverly is something of a shit who has no respect for his own wife let alone other women.
