Stop Press: Cost of Rwanda transport plunges. USAF has announced the C17 payload record is not 640, but 823! That's a 28% reduction per bumspace. Time to re-crunch the numbers. Excellent news, and I believe RAF Transport Command have eight C17's. No doubt the Home Office are frantically working on a plan that shows using the RAF will be far too costly.

We allso have a fleet of 22 Atlas A400Ms. And very nice they are too. They are the backbone of the UK Ukrain supply line.

So we only need to send one 3/4 empty plane to fulfil this year's quota. Yipee. With that and an overcrowded barge we've saved 700 hotel spaces. Just another 20,000 to go and we've dealt with a whole year's worth. Anything is better than actually letting them go to work and start contributing to society.

It seems to me that the RAF is the obvious choice.

Monte, we have already established that the 200 a year figure you mentioned earlier is nonsense.

Monte, we have already established that the 200 a year figure you mentioned earlier is nonsense. We've done no such thing. We've had confirmation that the Rwandan government has said they only have 200 available spaces. No doubt they could have built some more accommodation with the £240 million we've sent them if only they weren't such a corrupt government.

I just listened to former Labour MP Simon Danczuk who said he knows there are private companies out there who would be more than willing to sign a government contract to fly asylum seekers to Rwanda, he also said he knows from experience that behind the scenes civil servants (Home Office) would make it as difficult as possible.
Edit:
Just been reported that the PCS (Civil Service) Union are gathering in London to demonstrate against the governments Rwanda plan. This is ridiculous, is it any wonder the government are struggling to get anything done when the left wing civil service are constantly fighting against government policy. They should be bloody sacked, the lot of them.

About time the UK followed the US model whereby an incoming government brought in its' own senior administrators for their duration rather have to rely on an obstructive permanent civil service
