So what age do you need to be to look at art?. What age would you suggest for Michelangelo's David? I'm not the one who is complaining about the art class, (I took my teenage daughter to Italy for the express purpose of viewing art), but some parents, depending on the maturity of their children, may object to their being shown full frontal nude images at an early age.The kids were 12 years old - Mohammed married a 6 year old girl and screwed her when she was 9. So I'm rather unclear who (or what) we are supposed to be protecting when we dont show Muslim kids art.

It's probably more about accommodating their religious sensibilities, even if they don't make sense to outsiders. I don't understand any more than you do how they accept being held to a higher standard than their prophet. Then again, Religion asks its followers to suspend logic and common sense judgment.

Who is suggesting they need protection from art? They have free choice to like art or dismiss it. Maybe it's a matter of wanting to exercise parental control. A lot of parents, even non-Muslims, would prefer not to let the school decide whether it is age appropriate to show their twelve year olds this sort of art. So what age do you need to be to look at art?. What age would you suggest for Michelangelo's David? That’s probably the best question i have seen in this thread Back in 76 the summer school i attended to learn the technical side of photography and photo development there was an art class. It included drawing from the life model. The teacher in charge stipulated a minimum age of 16 for attendance. My girlfriend was just 17, i was 18. She went to draw the still life and life models I asked, and after explaining my planned photoshoot and angles, was welcome to attend and take photographs of the students and models. I did exactly that. But no one under 16 was allowed in the class OR the exhibition of my, Tommy’s and Chris’s (that’s Christine btw) photo exhibits. Which remained with the art school.
