The Tory MP for Stoke on trent North, Jonathan Gullis, is outraged after Gary Linekar had the audacity to actually have a personal opinion on something ... he criticised the Rawanda Plan by signing a letter signed by dozens of other celebrities and high profile people, calling for the Rawanda plan to be scrapped.
The row started when LInekar put his name to a letter criticising the Rawanda Plan, which then attracted comments from three leading Tories, with Grant Shapps saying that he ( Linekar ) should stick to football.
But the most vehment criticism has come from Jonathan Gullis, in an on-line slanging match on Twitter
( I gollow Gary, because I am a big fan of his )

Yet another breach of the BBC’s impartiality rules by @garylineker.
But, sadly, spineless Tim Davie will do nothing about it, having surrendered to Lineker previously. ---------------------------------------------------------------------

Jonathan hasn’t read the new guidelines….or, should I say, had someone read them to him? ----------------------------------------------------------------------
Readers added context
The BBC guidelines on impartiality refer to broadcast output.
Mr Linekar added his signature to a letter, something done in his own personal time and nothing connected with any BBC content.

So far its Linekar 3 - 0 Outraged Tories

Gullis is an elected member of parliament. Lineker! Who's Lineker? I believe he's some multi-millionaire BBC corporate wrinkley hoping to remain relevant. It's why the Left on here insist on the BBC robbing little old ladies pensions to pay for his fat gob.

Yep - another reason to scrap the Licence Tax.. PATHETIC - the only way to describe your post Everyone has views and opinions on many things, and just because one man who works for the BBC has opinions which contradicts your opinions, you feel that the licence fee should be scrapped and the BBC defunded. Utterly pathetic

Utterly pathetic Of course it should. He's the BBC's highest paid propaganda pushing tool who's directly attacking the Conservative party at every opportunity. The fact that you support him, the BBC and Labour only validates the fact that the BBC, which is a corrupt corporation, should be defunded.

Utterly pathetic locking poor people in prison because they dont want to keep Gary Lineker in a life of luxury and free to spout whatever bollocks he likes might be your idea of a great country - it's certainly not mine.
