There arnt many here, the rest neednt read on. I came across a video of people who are of an advanced spiritual state, and this is what they had to say. The Universe is an infinite sea of consciousness, and you, we, crocs, geese, monkeys, bacterias, are but a wave, in this infinite sea, to rise, only to fall back. We live, briefly, then die, or become part of the sea again, there is no death. Everything conscious thing is one.
Light, the Universe, etc is just that, how can it see itself, without there being darkness? that to experience is to give meaning to being a thought, a feeling, a spirit, that being physical is a mirror. That identity is a mistake, son, father, a job, white, black, tory labour etc is to limit youself from vast new experiences, and when that is ditched new oppurtunities arise. That science is looking to spirituality to explain the vast complexities of the Universe, science is looking to understand the universe through spirituality, religion.
That the future of mankind is at stake, that the problems we face, and have faced are of our own making, that we must move on to something bigger greater, there is a tipping point coming. Neale Donald Walshe thinks we will make the grade, unlike all that went before.
And of being spiritual, awakened here? Today? Its not about awakening, you already are. There is no sudden change, an awakening to something more, all you have to do is be aware, quiet, and all joy will come to you. To try and find fulfillment in the outer world, money, fame, love, etc is doomed to fail you will always want more, dissatisfaction is permanent.
As the Bible says, " Be still and know that i am God".
O no, lets not use god word, lets use Mrs Sylvester of no 43 Bradmore Street.

Take some time out to listen to what you actually think and feel, rather than what you think you should think and feel. You may surprise yourself.
Obviously, don't do this if you have bad psychiatric condition or there is no practical space in your circumstances for such dallying.

Obviously, don't do this if you have bad psychiatric condition or there is no practical space in your circumstances for such dallying. Take time out and don't actually think, just relax and only be aware of the independent bodily sounds within oneself. Then feel the benefit afterwards of closing down all wants, desires, problems and concerns. Anyone who wants to understand the human condition must first of all understand the workings of the Amygdala (A-mig-dalla) in the emotional side of the Brain. Without that understanding everything is at best, guesswork.

A friend was telling me that according to some study or other humans need time for reflection . It’s good for mental health. In the past people could and would pray . They would also have a vicar or priest to guide them . Prayer isn’t just asking for a pools win or to bless your dead relatives . It can and was a tool for reflection. We don’t have that to hand now . I was taught Vipassana meditation by the Buddhist society. It’s very much like transcendental meditation but much cheaper and without the bullshit . I hardly ever use either but I hardly ever use other stuff like Nei Gung the tai chi long form . On the other hand I know a couple of people who took DMT and claim that it changed their perception of reality . Not good for the middle way though .

During my squatting days I took a lot of LSD ("Acid"). I could go into detail about the wide variety of hallucinations I experienced ... but the most interesting effect of this drug was where I ended up after I took it every day for a week. I found myself in the "real world". The hallucinations stopped and I clearly saw that human behaviour ... movements, body postures, facial expressions, etc. are either natural to our ape ancestry or "robotic". Well balanced people are able to switch between these two modes in an organised fashion whereas "neurotic" people get them muddled up.

Someone said that man is imagination, that his, our world has been constructed by imagination, that is thinking, visualising, and feeling. What you do with your imagination, or what you do with your consciousness, where you put it, is where your world is constructed.
That is where you are today.
Bentley, why not construct a new world for yourself, meditation is good, but you can do far far more. What do you want?, money, fame, happiness? When i got my divorce 18 years ago i consciously wished for money, and ive got it, far more is coming. Ask and it will come, if you do it correctly. If dreams are for sale, what would you want? They are. Senior, drugs like lsd strip away our barriers to stuff, and psychosis may be the same. I knew two women who said thay were regularly raped by the devil.
Who is to say that wasnt the case.

After much rumination I've decided that the concept of individual enlightenment is a bit narcissistic (or open to narcissistic abuse).
It leads many people down a tunnel of extreme personal deconstruction that leaves them vulnerable to manipulation. People should silently identify personal weaknesses and work on them

Whereas prayer imo becomes quite introspection after a time , TM and VP meditation is a technique to achieve a state of not thinking at all. Any thoughts in your head and noises around you are recognised and noted . Then you go back to the mantra or listening to your breathing in order to go deeper into the trance like state . Its not day dreaming or an exercise to create a new reality . There are other types of meditation . I’m aware of a few but they are not for me. Using a mystic type of meditation for personal gain/ wealth is a form of black art imo. It can screw your head up.

Not sure if it is meditation, hypnosis, trance or whatever word the sellers of magic beans call it … However. When i induce a state of trance im myself to enable irritating medical procedures with substantially less sedation than needed otherwise, i very firmly focus on chasing ursula around Dr No’s island. To focus on my breathing invites feedback that could be catastrophic.

She said many claim to do what i did but they don’t often see it actually happen. And did i catch her ? I always let her escape me, i said. It would not do to come out if tbe trance with the dentist half way through drilling, orcas in tbis case, the hosepipe only half way to its target.

At the second where they went cutting the consultant suggested some very unprofessional adjectives might rightly be applied to his ‘colleague’

The first couple of times they put me out with Prozac ( not unconscious but not caring ) . The last couple of times they just gave me enough to take the edge off . I spent a pleasant time talking to the nurse and doctors about my internals (and other things )while watching them on a screen. They gave me a pair of paper pants with an escape hatch to keep my modesty too…and I got a photo …really . That’s progress for you .
