Protesting against the willingness for our government's inaction against a worldwide catastrophe. I know it's a bit longer but hey ho. It means that anyone that suggests holding a demonstration or protest is liable to arrest. Is that getting back our freedom.

Anyone can stage a demonstration or protest providing they stick to the law.

Jonsk so you think arresting someone for a thought process is a good idea. You cannot be arrested for thinking; it is impossible you can think what you like He has been arrested on suspicion of Conspiracy to commit a Public Nuisance, suspected of organising others to hold and take part in unlawful Protests, that cause serious disruption to other people, by blocking motorways, stopping the flow of traffic, criminal damage to buildings, spraying them with paint, etc all of which are offences, which we have seen, and many people have had to endure for weeks. Perhaps it would help if you understood what Conspiracy is in UK Law A simple explanation of Conspiracy A criminal conspiracy takes place when two or more people get together and plan to carry out a course of conduct which will necessarily involve the commission of an offence. In other words, more than one person agrees to do something which will involve committing a crime. A specific action someone plans or carries out does not have to be a crime itself to be considered part of a criminal conspiracy, it only needs to play some role in an overall plan that will involve a crime. For example, buying ski masks is not a crime, but if they are being bought as part of a plan to rob a bank, the people buying the masks could still be charged with conspiracy to commit bank robbery. The crime of conspiracy can be charged whether or not the plan is ever actually carried out, and whether or not the crime is ever committed. The offence depends on the agreement to commit specific actions as part of a plan that involves a crime, rather than any part of the plan actually being carried out.

I wonder how many of these bleading hearts would feel the same if they lost a loved one in an emegency because the emergency services were held up by these excuses for protesters?

It is true that some people have been greatly inconvenienced and sadly some have lost their lives, that is extremely sad. The government does not have to do anything to stop these protests other than commit to a serious reduction in fossil fuels and properly fund green alternatives. It is the Tories causing these protests as another deflection, give the people an enemy, strategy.

It is the Tories causing these protests as another deflection, give the people an enemy, strategy. Sunak and other leaders of many countries are currently having a Conference to address the issue of Climate Change at this very moment, the problem the world faces would be no different even if we had a government in place that you approve of. The UK is already committed to more green energy, less fossil fuels phasing them out, Boris brought in the phasing out petrol and diesel engines cars will not be allowed for that very reason. It is not a problem any Government can resolve overnight
