A serious question then, just how would sending people to Rwanda stop the boats? A serious answer then If we had a proper system of dealing with these invaders, like for example the way the Australians had, those coming by boat would pretty quickly choose instead to have their case heard in tbe safe country they are standing in, and not come here. Are you seriously calling the UK not a safe country? A better system for us would be to process them in France, the French have said we can but the UK government has refused, wonder why?

Interesting point
There are today LESS asylum assessors and associated staff than there was 10 years ago, does anyone think that cutting both the budgets and the number of staff in the UK's Immigration & Border Force has been helpful in the fight against rising numbers of people requesting asylum. ?

Where are you getting these figure's from as the total number of Civil Servants working in the Home Office is around 50% higher than it was in 2010.

I am quoting statements which were made on Channel 4 News which were not disputed by the Conservative MP present, and I really find it very hard to believe that after 13 years of cuts, there are 50% more staff in the Home Office.

EDIT - dont worry I have found the figures for caseworkers. There has been a 62% increase in caseworkers from 2011/12 to 2021/22 which would correspond with the increase in headcount for the Home Office as a whole. link

The only processing they should be getting is a choice between safety in one of the political bloc they have already successfully fled to, or dumping back where they came from The fact the other 26 EU members belonged to took every possible measure to aid these fuckers dumping themselves on OUR shore is a BIG reason 17 and a half million of us told the EU to fuck off, and they should now be forced to sort their illegal immigrants out inside THEIR borders. None of the shitshower being handed free accommodation in Britain are at risk of persecution in the EU it is a crime there to do that. So they have no grounds to seek asylum here from persecution inside the EU borders.

Pity it didn't disappear beneath the waves. The only thing that will persuade the EU and Macron to stop illegals crossing the channel is international pressure due to illegals drowning. No one is willing to say it out loud, but it's a fact. You want to see more drownings? Well, I was going to say more drownings may focus French/EU minds. But on reflection, I don't think the French or the EU give a damn how many drown. It is after all the EU/French who in broad daylight and in full view of the police allow them to drag dinghies down beaches and set off for England. The EU forcibly return boats to Libya, but refuse to allow the UK to do the same. Double standards?

It's all so double standards that whenever these boat drownings happen it's always the UK who get the blame, no one dare blame Macron or French border control for allowing them to run a illegal shuttle service to the UK.

I'm certainly not going to lose any sleep over illegals drowning in the channel. It's on the conscience of EU/French authorities who allow them to put to sea. Nothing to do with me or the UK.
