I have just heard the comment that Sunak may struggle for supremacy when abroad with Cameron as Foreign Secretary. Cameron chutzpah/personal knowledge of many foreign leaders v inexperienced diminutive Sunak. Popcorn time!

you DO know he git paid millions as a ‘peace envoy’ after running away from the warmongering he started … That's interesting, I was of the understanding his was an unpaid role, do you have any evidence of who paid him, and what he was paid? The Iraq war was started by the UN Security Council when they passed UN Res. 1441. The UN and the Arab League backed him over Libya. And the UN changed their rules over the Genoside that took place by the Serbs. www.independent.co.uk/voices/tony-blair-uae-middle-east-envoy-qatar-israel-palestine-foreign-office-a7894641.htmlThe UAE. I’ve picked one of many press reports. I first saw it on Reuters, years ago Oh yeah one more thing I don’t have any interest in proving Blair misled parliament. I proved to a parliamentary select committee he did lie to parliament One of the first things Blair did was to send Patricia Hewitt and Stephen Byers to India to fill jumbos with any indian who fancied working in the IT game in Britain, to whom he promised a fast tracked visa. A visa gained by telling parliament these were skills in great shortage and no one was able to do them Using the membership lists of the trade body to whom i was at the time an elected member of the director’s advisory council, i asked for anyone who knew anyone willing to apply for a job with those skills to send me a CV on the strict understanding i was going to use the fact they had those skills and were looking for work to destroy Blair’s fabrication that NO such person was available and that foreigners needed to be imported Armed with this list i found myself in the office of a junior shadow minister who arranged for a select committee to investigate Blair’s lies over this subject, seeing that i had provided the names of three people with UK passports for every vacancy advertised at that time … It took the select committee a very short time indeed to declare Blair a liar and quietly shit his scam down Sadly by then thousands of Indians were here fighting for contracts and jobs. Fortunately many were exposed as incompetent having forged their cv entries. I made a FORTUNE fixing their shambolic work as did many others. And Blair’s face as he left that inquiry into his mendacity was a picture.

I just want them to do a good job and know experience is important. You start picking them for looks and you end up with clowns.

Minister for Brexit means Brexit. Her deal made the best of both worlds, the majority didn't want it, it has mostly been put in place anyway. No it hasn't. The UK isn't locked in perpetuity to the CU at Macron's discretion. As she said she could never put a border down the Irish sea.

Do I get the feeling we are all agreed? The Tories are throwing the next General Election. Starmer will be the first Prime Minister in the History, or for that matter the UK that has been bolstered to Prime Minister with the help and support of the Opposition leader........ CHEERS SUNAK...... you will be remembered alright ........... the Prime Minister who put Labour into power .. ... Oh the Shame I struggle to see what real advantage Cameron brings to the table. A proven coward bereft of the strength of character to complete the task he ‘personally guaranteed’ he would. But ‘Sunak Losing To Labour’ being unique ? Come on. I admit it’s going to be a spectacular fall from power but i’ve been around for over sixty six years and politically aware for over fifty of them and i cannot myself recall an election, not even Thatcher’s springboard with the Falklands Factor, where the government that entered number ten after the dust settled was put there by it’s offerings to the people. No, sorry what put them there was hatred of, or fear of, or tbe need for revenge against, whoever lost.

I would think this obvious thought didnt need testing, resulting in the longterm decline of the country. Proof of which lies in the fact that after a majority of 80 seats, followed by a series of illegal exceptionalism and schoolboy arrogance, tectonic moves to the right which ignored the needs of ordinary people and the fuelling of division and culture wars and did nothing with its newfound "sovereignty" which was the great promise that gave it their 80 seat majority and a cabinet of privileged fools. Now after 13 years of this shower, there doesnt seem to be enough talent to govern the country without going back to "go". Positions filled without the promise of "if we dont like it we can vote them out". You cant even vote them in!! And finally the country has become an international joke and has lost much of its heft in important global issues. The old lion has become a small squeak. Nice to see a cabinet now including some balanced consideration instead of idealistic spoiled children who only think of themselves. But democracy in the UK needs some serious revision.

In one way Sunak's appointment of Cameron was actually very astute. It completely overshadowed the sacking of the Home Secretary. Nobody is talking about Braverman any more. The news machine has moved on.

How fickle. And the same hand wringers who are now calling Rishi a wet blanket (which we all knew he was in the first place) were the same folk who heralded him as a stable and sensible choice.

I havent time to read all the comments, but, didnt Cameron get paid by a company to promote them in government, and took backhanders from the Chinese?
If reproducing previous comments i apologise.
Cameron is a criminal, out to pad his back pocket. Sunak is crazy, out soon.

Hilarious, he defeated Brown and Miliband, which even I could do, and lost the referendum. Imagine wanting two identical parties and calling that a democratic choice. Yep, we now have a choice of Labour or Labour. Marvellous. Shame that PR will never happen - it's the only way to break the deadlock. Seeing less nonsense like your post would help.

What, you don't think the heir to Blair replacing Braverman in the Tories and the heir to Blair leading Labour isn't suspect?

IF you had researched NL, Blair / Brown, you would have recognised that your post was not a joke'. It was just more mud throwing as if there hasn't been enough of that already. What you don't seem to understand is that the country is the loser.A joke? that you thought would not trigger a comment? No Blair and Cameron are a pair of losers, the country lost much by their tenures in office. How I wish posters like yourself would do some realistic research on such matters, it could help to improve your posts no end.
