What a cowardly and dishonourable excuse they've given.

What can one say? they should be remembered for what they were told they were fighting for, that probably went out of the window in the 50s and has been a slow and steady removal ever since.

People in Barry should ignore the council and the prime minister should publicly criticise them. If Starmer had any sense he would criticise this Labour council, but I suppose he's more concerned about appeasing Muslims than remembrance.

I wonder what colour this veteran was who suffered a minor injury in 2014? Just asking for a friend of course.

Good for the RBL. I sincerely hope the Labour run council are suitably embarrassed.

Remembrance Day in London is being used for political reasons, that day is to remind of the sacrifices made by ordinary people not political football by privileged politicians.
Those supporting Palestine have foolishly chosen that day to protest which will damage their cause,Roland rat has decided that protest will be used to deface the cenotaph.
Now putting my cynical hat on were I in mossad I would be encouraging some useful idiots to do that very deed for obvious political and propaganda value.

Surely he right day to protest about a country committing apartheid and genocide is the day we remember those that sacrificed their lives fighting against a country that practiced apartheid and genocide.

That is true the right of peaceful protest is paramount for a democracies survival, giving the Westminster party an excuse to remove it, isn't that wise.

You can’t see how that will damage their cause or how it can will be exploited?

No because one is remembering the people, not specifically what they fought for as that varied over the years. There are many countries being accused of apartheid and genocide and in many cases it is Jews that suffered in Arab lands where a mass exodus of Jews has occurred in recent years. So you do need to bring a bit of balance.

When there are hundreds of thousands of people demonstrating for peace and an end to ethnic cleansing and we have a government that has labelled them hate marches.

So you do need to bring a bit of balance. You cannot remember the people who gave their lives without remembering why the died., the two are undivorceable. You are, like our government, making excuses for genocide.
