All of you are ignoring the Elephant in the room, or in this case the rat or mouse. When you leave this world leave a small footprint, with having improved it. Imagine dying of thirst in a desert, and a big hand comes down from the heavens and places you by an oasis, i rescue worms from paths so no one walks on them, snails etc, i stop for injured animals. I dont really have a choice, its in my genes, my personality type among other things, ive done it as a child. Relieving suffering makes me feel better, because somewhere along the line, previous lives, i have been in that desert. How cold and detached you are is beyond me, if i see suffering, emotional or physical i feel it, i turn over if those adverts come on, i can only cope with so much. Maybe you will get it ginny when you are in big trouble, and someone rescues you. When you thought no rescue was possible, and that your rescuer did not discriminate against you, that you did or did not deserve rescuing. This will be casting seed on barren ground. If you've got an elephant in the room you are taking wildlife preservation too far.

Not to mention having to shovel up after it.

Not to mention having to shovel up after it. Saves having to pay for horse manure though.

I can and have, each to his own. Humans are smaller than mice if you take the Universe into consideration, and in that comedy programme the hitch hikers guide, the big boys of the universe could build a new galactic motorway and not notice that they have destroyed human kind in its building. God notices the falling of a sparrow, or a mouse, because god is them, god cant help it, you are a bit of the universe, god, infinite intelligence, harming yourself. O dear, the mentioning of a greater thing, a much bigger thing. You are not separate.

Yes , God is in the cat that slowly kills the mice , god is in the predator that eats its prey alive, god is in the parasite that takes over it’s host , God is in the infection that that rots away some of Gods creatures . I get it .

I get it . Yeah, but I think piglet's version is pantheism, which is a thing. If so, I killed a bit of God in a rat trap. Twice. I don't think so.

I would imagine it's a pretty direct correlation between what goes in and what comes out. An elephant is only really for the person with a lot of roses. Cost wise it may be cheaper to just buy horse manure from your local stables. In fact most people are happy to give it away for free as they usually have more than they can cope with. If you really want cheap horse shit most charity shops are full of unread copies of the Da Vinci code by Dan Brown.

Bentley, You are seperate, a god in your own right, like you are the son of your father. Youve done well, you have progressed to being a human, not a rat or a mouse. All life is dynamic, your going up or down in the grand scheme of things. If you are evil, a killer, selfish, unaware, you are returning to a primitive existence, conversley, if you give, forgive, help, not aggressive, build, create, you are destined for better things.
If you are not spiritual you will ignore this. Being a mouse is ok, its not harmful, unlike a rat, or a gila monster, a viper etc. Being human means you have the ability to inflence your life for the better, unlike most animals who have life happen to them, mostly bad, and must turn turn the other cheek despite the most awful things. If you are evil, then you are on the way down, like a rat, and worse.
Most humans are evil, 98 per cent i reckon.
The world is a pit, and you add to it. Life is a chance to better yourself.

Let’s get this right . If I disagree with your epiphany , it’s because I lack spirituality. Classic religious dogma .

Wash it again. What deritus do you leave behind? the lesson isnt learnt. This is the lesson, i repeat, point the finger, have it pointed at you, if you kill rats or mice because you call them vermin, then what piles of s hite do you pollute the world with? Carbon dioxide, radiation, polluted rivers, trash of all sorts, over poulation, disease, environmental destruction blah blah..... Judge and you will be judged, just exercise a little kindness in everyday things. Who in their right mind can kill a mouse? I ve had them, you can buy traps that dont kill, you will have to let them loose at least a mile away or they will come back. Its a world of cause and effect, kill and what then? You are storing up bad karma. Compassion, practice it and you will recieve it. Why should I have to rewash clothes contaminated by bird muck from wild birds attracted by some bright spark feeding them? Wild birds are not pets, and should be encouraged to forage for food, and while feeding wild birds can have positive effects on their survival and population growth, people should be aware of the potential negative consequences as well. Wild birds prey on grubs and insects, which is why we have a plague of flies. The birds get lazy and take the easy option of stuffing themselves with food provided by people who don't consider the consequences. I think it is important to follow best practices when feeding garden birds to minimize any negative impact on their natural behaviour. Not only that, but the wild bird foods sold contain products coming from all over the World - thus contributing to pollution in transporting it long distances. (China is the World's biggest peanut producer). Actually, bird droppings tend to bleach washing and give in that whiter than white effect and you can't say fairer than that. As to peanuts, my neighbour has a Porsche and I like to scatter peanuts around the motor so that the birds crap all over it. The odd thing is that the robins don't bother with peanuts themselves, just the husks.

We have a problem with pigeons using our TV aerial as a perch, or toilet, and shitting all over the roof. Pigeon decoys are crap, they never work. If I was allowed to shoot them I'd get a shotgun licence. Pigeons are vermin, they're flying rats.

This is where it gets complicated. In England, air gun laws used to list birds you CAN’T shoot. Then the government almost accidentally banned all bird shooting so they had to rush out a new list of 20 birds you CAN shoot – it’s a list we call the general licences. Let’s start with doves and pigeons: You can shoot woodpigeons and feral pigeons all over the UK. You can’t shoot stock doves, collared doves or turtle doves. Woodpigeons make good eating but you can’t shoot one to eat it. And if someone questions you, you have to show that you were preventing serious damage to crops. Here’s a crop. Or foodstuffs for livestock. Here’s some foodstuff. Plus it’s worth being able to produce a scarecrow to show you have tried other means. Seriously." So there's your solution Red. Make a scarecrow. Buy a decent air rifle with a silencer. Happy hunting!

Magpies make a racket but unlike pigeons they're not a problem. At a glance I cant tell the difference between different types of pigeon, if it was using the TV aerial as a toilet I'd shoot it regardless, if I had a gun/rifle.
