The illegal migrants are a big problem for this government and unless they get to grips with it they'll be punished at the next GE. I doubt it I agree. The issue is overblown by RW media and oft repeated on places like this but most people seem to be far more concerned about rising prices and mismanagement of the economy.

The people will then discover or rediscover that the opposition is just as bad or worse, and the cycle will continue. We need a new party. Same people politically but different faces? UK politicians aren't that good, and I don't have much faith in the UK electorate who all too often appear to be too easily misled.

It is all sides of the media. It's part of the culture wars. Fighting over nonsense to try and prove who has the better morals, which is an argument you can never win, because I've never met anybody that will admit my morals are better than theirs... or vice versa. BTW I notice you talk about "mismanagement of the economy", but neglect to mention the small thinks like COVID, war in Ukraine, global recession / interest rate rises / supply chain problems. Look around, most of the world is economically fucked, it has nothing to do with your imaginary Tory "mismanagement".

The Truss/Kwarteng budget disaster was recognised as mismanagement by the Tories themselves!!!
