Labour winning the next election is a poisoned chalice, they are used to replacing Tory governments who leave vast amounts of money that Labour then squanders on bull sh ite. Bring a Labour government on, if you think things are bad now...... I think there is probably less money in the pot now than when Liam Byrne left his famous note, which was a jokey note, of course. How is debt now compared to 2010?

Imagine the Tories inflicting Labour on us, because that's what they are going to do, you just feel like getting hold of them by the scruff of the neck and saying ...... FUCKIN liven up.

These two by-elections should have given the Tories the substantial kick up the backside they need.
Unfortunately, the thumping defeats delivered by those bothering to turn out to vote are likely to result in an even more riven party. Sunak will then be unable to formulate a common strategy (of change?) the Tory factions will support as they should be moving into campaigning mode. This is a pity, because Sunak could become the leader the UK needs.
Voters appear not to vote for parties fighting within themselves. So, providing Labour doesn’t succumb to over confidence, it’s odds on that Starmer will be PM after the next general election.
Two terms of Labour in power could provide the space and impetus the Tories need to get back themselves back on track…

Bring a Labout government on, if you think things are bad now...... Yes - we wouldn't want a prospective Labour government wasting money on repairing the damage to the NHS, or attempting to increase capacity in the NHS in order to get waiting lists down would we. All the waste last time Labour took over from the Tories, such as wasting money on employing more doctors, more nurses, building SureStart centres or helping working people on low incomes. In 13 years, in what way is anyone better off now ?, what is the one major historical achievement of David Cameron, Teressa May, Boris or Rishi Sunak, what achievement of major significance have the Tories delivered to us. ? People are now just totally pissed off, and most people want change

Bring a Labout government on, if you think things are bad now...... I think you may be correct. Labour supporters (as we see from this forum) are all expecting massive increases in Public Spending - where this money is going to come from is totally unclear given the record tax burden we have currently and the recent equivalent of 6% increase in Income tax. If they are thinking about reintroducing PFI I doubt people will stand for that scam again.

From the little that has escaped from the labour party about their intentions we understand that their aims are the following, -
Integration with the EU on as much as possible, including taking in additional migrants. A substantial increase in the public sector. Complete support and acquiescence with all trade union demands. Increase borrowing to fund further incompetencies in the NHS. Prison sentences for all and sundry who refuse to be cowed by American woke ideology. Substantial increase in gender rubbish, rights for loud mouthed minorities and a huge increase in positive discrimination against indigenous white people. Huge increased in public tax revenues, including removing tax exemptions for ISA savings accounts.
If the public choose to vote for that they can hardly complain when it all happens. It appears that we are in the illogical position whereby the public appears to be angry about a mild left wing conservative government and intends to vote in a hard left government when all the majority of people want is a proper Conservative Government.
Perhaps the Tories will ditch Ricky and replace him with goodness knows who and hope that does the trick, can't see that happening.

Don't you worry that Fairy and Red will work themselves up into a myocardial infarction long before they have to time to enjoy it? I know I do.

I’m going to say it because nobody else will
Were these the result of mass defection to the left, or a mass outbreak of tory supporters sitting on their arses letting the opposition votes count ?
The reality is that in one of them at least the stay at home contingent was almost as great as when everyone was so disillusioned with everyone the BNP got two MEP’s elected.
It is a sign of a need for the Tory Party to actually become a Conservative government for a change. We haven’t had one for quite a while.
But i rather suspect turnout in the GE wont be that pitiful.

If that's true the Tories need to focus on getting those arses off their chairs and round to the ballot box, having said that Labour are renown for having more dead people vote for them than living ones, let's hope for Labours sake there is no scrutinising the voting system.
Former Labour councillor jailed for election fraud (Note the name)
Muhammed Hussain, 61, arranged for the collection of blank ballot papers posted to homes in the ward where he was standing in Blackburn, Lancashire.
Campaigners went house to house asking voters to hand over blank ballots, telling them: "Don't worry, we'll take care of them."
He went on to beat the sitting Tory candidate at the local elections of May 2002.
Hussain pleaded guilty at an earlier hearing to conspiring to defraud the returning officer in the Bastwell ward of Blackburn.
