And, 7 years on, it's clear that's a bunch of utter horse shite. So you don’t think the UK had the fastest-growing economy in the G7 when it voted to leave the EU in 2016, when it was both the world's top soft power and one of its most creative and tolerant nations? If not, WTF do you think the UK is going to achieve on its own? Many of its inhabitants are in a in a pretty sorry state right now… In 2016 we had exactly the same growth rate as Germany - now we are out-pacing Germany. So what exactly are you complaining about?

opposite is true for migrants from the EU. To this extent post-Brexit migration policy is working as intended by restricting migration to higher paid and more highly-qualified people.

Exactly, greater than inflation exports to the EU, USA, and many other partners. And we're doing better than the Russian gas addicted continental European countries who no longer have Russian gas since Putin blew up the pipelines.

Nothing involving being in or out of the EU will bring the changes necessary to start rebuilding the UK... And there you go: Even Dim Kim gets it. The EU is irrelevant to the UK. Brexit is irrelevant to the UK. Example. It was the EU which banned chlorine washed chicken. After a recent debate the UK still bans it. Rees Mogg has spoken in support of hormone injected beef, banned by the EU. The UK govt. rejected such a suggestion. Thr UK still supports EU law and begs to rejoin EU programmes. It copies EU agricultural changes yet Brexit has caused thousands of business closures, a mountain of trade related paperwork, a border mess in Northern Ireland still unresolved, and has contributed nothing to the serious problems of staffing the NHS, the care sector, inflation, crime or agricultural issues. Brexit was pointless. Except for a select few who thought their exceptionalism would give them ultimate power...Boris tried that by proroguing Parliament and lying to the Queen. And lying to the people multiple times, as well as behaving like gleeful children breaking their own rules. All in the government elected through Brexit euphoria. Nations dont operate out of context and Brexit has proven useless and pointless in realtime existential politics. Nothing is better because of Brexit. All those devious hollow lies dont change a thing.

But that was never the point. The point was self-determination and democracy and we achieved it.
Whether or not we agree with EU law or regs is our choice, not yours to command.
Brexit has totally achieved its aims. That you don't understand what they were is irrelevant.

You have always had the capacity to stop anyone from entering your country That is why the UK has always had passport and customs checks even for its own passport holders while Schengen countries do not. I didnt realise such ignorance still exists.

Oh give it a break. You were told your food, cloths and shoes would be cheaper. Your fishing would flourish, you would rule the waves again, you would keep the villainous foreigner at bay, Whether you agreed with EU regs which your parliament had agreed to was always possible through your multiple opt outs. You do know that every EU piece of legislation was approved by your parliament before it passed to the EU Parliament and Council for a vote, dont you? Funny how now Brexit is such a failure, the reasons that were put forward for it are not now the reasons that were put forward for it.

It might seem that way to some disgruntled selfish expats because their own personal circumstance may have changed, but tough shit. The world doesn't revolve around you.

You've spent seven years pissing and whingeing about Brexit. You've never understood what it was about. You've never understood that the majority vote didn't agree with you. You've never understood that it wasn't your business. You've never understood that it wasn't about you. So it's pointless discussing it with you now. In fact, it's pointless discussing it at all: Your Project Fear has been endlessly debunked, the sky hasn't fallen in and most people in the UK have moved on. And it's time for you to do the same.
